Gonna take a break from the TV bit for a minute to share some important real life stuff that's been weighing on me with you all. This is my Dad. He's 84 years old, and up until a few years ago when our family restaurant unfortunately burned down, he's worked every single day of his life. He is the most stubborn, resilient, hardest working person I know (definitely where I get it from).
This past year he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung and Prostate Cancer. Something I've privately known about for a few months, and something especially after Pawdme's death, I don't think I've actually had time to fully process, but we'll save my current mental health for a different day, this isn't a post about me.
This is a post about my Hero.. My Dad. A lot of what I have today is because of my father. He ran an indie show in the parking lot of his restaurant when I was 8 years old just so I could get in a wrestling ring, he waited in line for tickets for me to WWF shows at The Gund Arena. He always wanted the best for me, and I hope I made him proud. Because of our work schedules I haven't had the chance to see him recently. But with the upcoming calendar we're able to be in Cleveland for an extended period right now. So I saw him today, a midst finishing chemo and radiation. He still just worried if I was doing okay, how work was going, and when my next match would be.
My Dad had me at 45 years old but you wouldn't have known it with how active he was with me. Having a crazy 4 year old now.. 7 years younger than he was then.. Man, I don't know how he did it! But seeing him interact with Quill now (even in this incredibly difficult time) is something I'll always cherish.
This is a rambling and I'll have much more to say at a later date, and I definitely need to get better at expressing my feelings but I guess the moral in all of this is cherish the moments you have with the people you love. They won't last forever. I know that's cliche' and I'd like to think I've always known that but have somehow learned to appreciate it even more so recently. ❤️
@BobD56169784@PapaGuerriero@yonann Himym is a fine show bloated by a bad final season
The earlier seasons are pretty good and there are a couple really special episodes (Time travellers, Bad News)
Final season sucks ass and I'll agree with you but even then it's still nowhere as bad as Big Bang
@daystriker19@Haarry_CS Important context is that these sites often sponsored the influencers in the videos (a clear FTC breach). These influencers also had fanbases that trended toward teens/kids so it was extra scummy because they were basically just promoting gambling to kids.
@daystriker19@Haarry_CS Tmartn/Phantoml0rd/JoshOG/Tom Syndicate/Faze clan back in 2016 used to do videos/streams gambling on CS skin sites like CSGOWild and CSGOLotto promoting said sites. It was later discovered they owned said sites and were often fixing bets in their favour for their videos.
@direncenjoyer01@cad_chamberlain@Haarry_CS It's not crazy to say that in hindsight I think more people were upset they owned the platforms versus actually being against promoting gambling to kids (which was obvious in the first place)
There is internal belief within WWE that Nick Aldis will wrestle again following his performance at SummerSlam, though it may not happen until 2027.
Several people backstage reportedly view Aldis as being as talented, if not more talented, than many of WWE's regular TV performers and want to see him have a significant in-ring run.
(@WrestleVotes on @FightfulSelect)
@Saganlives420@StevenWallaby I think the discourse is just overcorrecting after months of endless praise
It's a pretty great movie all things considered and you won't be disappointed
Is it better than Heat or Before Sunrise? FUCK NO
But there are worse movies above (Reze Arc is higher than both btw!)
@bubbytaff@Dragdar_ Regardless I think the execution is pretty bad. No player is perfect and even Faker has made egregious blunders in the past but this was just a matter of not being able to hold it regardless of whether or not the angle even exists IMO
@bubbytaff@Dragdar_ 100% what the thought process is, with true sight you can kinda see the play is shit regardless b/c even if Viktor bases Renekton is in the wing and it becomes a 2v2 with an item lead on both jg/top
@dedboystares@Clooless_@Valillya No, I think Clairvoyance predated the Disco terminology. From memory I believe it was the blue orb trinket they removed in like S6 that was the disco ball because you would run ghost cleanse
