Trading is not for broke people. 💔💁🏾‍♂️

If you have ₦5 million sitting comfortably in your account, do you really think a $100 loss on your prop/live account will freak you out? Probably not.

If you have enough money to feed yourself, sort out your bills, take care of your family and handle your basic needs for the next 6 months without feeling financially pressured, do you think that $100 loss will feel like the end of the world?

Neverrr.

But when you're broke, trading can become a completely different game.

You're not just trading the chart anymore. You're trading with your last money, your expectations, your bills, your needs and your hopes sitting on every position.

Every trade starts to feel personal.
Every loss feels personal.
Every drawdown feels like a setback in real life.

And that's when your emotions start going all over the place.

You become afraid to lose.
You hesitate on good setups.
You move your SL.
You close winners too early.
You revenge trade.
You force setups because you desperately need the next trade to work.

Not necessarily because your strategy is bad—but because the money means too much to you.

Mark Douglas emphasized the importance of being able to execute your trades without being emotionally attached to the outcome. You have to accept that any individual trade can lose and still execute your edge consistently.

And if you're broke like me, you have an even bigger psychological battle to fight.

You can't magically remove the financial pressure overnight. But you can put in the work to build your trading psychology, follow your rules, manage your risk and learn to accept losses as part of the business.

Because until you separate your survival from your next trade, every loss is going to feel like a personal attack.
