COVID 19 Statement
OBADO is following Government guidelines and as a result, the physical building is currently closed. However the OBADO team is continuing to contact individual members and families by telephone, offering support, advice and a friendly ear.
At OBADO through shared meals, games, dance, conversations, exercise, etc, participants strengthen social bonds and combat isolation, while affirming identity, their wellbeing and dignity. ❤️❤️
The centre went today and we had Tikala from P2P talk about the upcoming launch to get people into worthy jobs in line with qualifications and to advance further. The Older people participated and asked questions @mama_poverty
Older people have bonded well with college students in the colouring session - beneficial to them
. It strengthens their hand - eye cordination, grip control and helps to mantain sensor skills. 👇🏾
Older people enjoy playing a popular cultural board game known by different names in different parts of África for example; Oware in Ghana, Ayo in Nigeria, Omweso in Uganda and Warri in the Caribbean. It improves older people's focus😊👏🏾
