UPDATE: “I Bought The Mandilas Building Through a Loan From Zenith Bank. The Lagos State Government Initially Demolished Part of the Building and Refused to Rebuild It. After I Was Granted Approval to Reconstruct It, I Took Another Loan and Rebuilt It. Now, the Lagos State Government Has Returned to Forcefully Take Over the Entire Building. Despite Obtaining All the Necessary Approvals, Operatives of Government Agencies, Accompanied by a Thugs And Police Task Force, Forcefully Entered My Premises, Damaged Property, and Confiscated Goods Worth Over ₦3 Billion.” ~ Onuorah Eze Okafor Shares His Ongoing Dispute With the Lagos State Government Over the Ownership of the Mandilas Building.
5)Why did you not borrow the land owner money to modernize his buildings and furnish to standard. Why are you asking him to increase rent to 15m off other peoples sweat. Your guys house in Ikate from your own description should not be more than 7m and you my guy is what we call a hater and an overzealous agent. I am definitely unfollowing you for this post.
4)To make matters worse you are hating on the younger entrepreneurs who have taken an old dilapidated house and successfully renovated it and flipped same in the market as an Air B and B. Those are the real stars of this story. You have gone behind them to give the land owner bad advice to increase rent after such extensive renovations and furnishing????
3)That building is older than Oba Elegushi’s Palace. Why are you advising the landlord to charge market rate for the oldest building on the whole island? It is the new buildings that should go between 10-15m. To make matters worse you said that “the going rate in Ikate was 10 to 15m for a 3 bedroom apartment at that time? At what time bro??? The future???
2)You advised a landlord in Ikate who built his house when he was Forty years and is now in his late Sixties to increase his house rent from 3m to 10-15m (at that time). Bro he built that house 28 years ago. To put in perspective Prime Water Towers was completed in 2014. By that analogy your clients house was completed in 1998. Do you know that the price of a plot of land in lekki phase 1 at that time? 1000sqm was 1m between 2000 to 2005?
1)I believe that indeed you are part of the problem causing inflated property rental market in Lagos. It’s either this or you are lying and exaggerating facts in order to trend. I listened to your videos a couple of times and the conclusion reached may not appear apparent at first but once you hear his back story you will understand what I am talking about
