Since National Assistant Principals’ Appreciation Week occurred during spring break, we celebrated our asst. principals (Ms. Washington and Mrs. Foreman-Edwards) this week in the Eagles Nest. We are so grateful to have these ladies leading the team with Principal Thomas-Bethea!
At Obama Elementary, we teach our students that…”Readers are leaders!” Our reading pep rallies were absolutely AMAZING today! Every student in the school left with a book of their choice, and a summer bridge workbook with lessons students can complete over the summer. 📚❤️🥰
It’s National Lunch Heroes’ Day so we celebrated our nutrition staff (Mrs. Washington, Ms. Reid, Ms. Holt, Ms. Harvey, Ms. Wainwright, and Ms. Vines) with gifts, cash, balloons and breakfast. We are incredibly grateful for their service, love, and dedication. 😋❤️👍🏽

At this year’s District-wide Technology Fair, more than 700 projects were presented. Our school has 24 winners with 23 winning projects this year! Seven of them are first place winners who will compete at the state level in March! Congrats to ALL! 🎊🎈🎉

As our school-wide community service project, we collected over 1500 cereal boxes to give to local homeless shelters and food pantries. Kudos to our OUTSTANDING Science lab teacher, Mrs. Kayla Lusane, for sharing the idea. 🙏🏽
