@impi3tas I get your point, but a lot of writers absolutely do have this issue. Just look at the MCU. Thor is mischaracterized all the time in the comics
@Timmy_Mac15@LocalizedJuni@Txcslutch Genuinely it being published by Disney, and thus an example of what it is mocking, unironically makes it more impactful and interesting
@jtd941@CNLiberalism She doesn't. She said she believes Ukraine is the victim, she just said that she doesn't support US aid for Ukraine. Regardless of whether you think that's bad or not, that is different than supporting Russia.
@YIMBYLAND I don't think so. People said the same thing about AOC, Mamdani, etc. Even Bernie. These new winners likely know what they are doing. Most of the crazy things they said were before they started running. They are going to behave differently than they would before running
@JamaalKemp8@xiaofeiniaor@artisanrocky "Russia has the right to militaristically conquer another country in order to unify its ethnicity"
Identical logic to Hitler's invasion of Czechoslovakia
@mcjuliamc@SuperFloxes Why "instead?" Why not both? You do realize that the people working in zoos are completely different people from the ones destroying ecosystems, right?
@dlion346@Mike_from_PA Now Green Energy actually IS one that Crockett is stronger on. Her platform talks much more about new green energy and more at length about climate policy. While Tallarico does talk about that, particularly being pro-geothermal energy, he also mentioned wanting to make oil safer
@dlion346@Mike_from_PA Their stance on immigration is also basically the same. Both advocate for more humane but efficient border security. Both oppose mass deportation. Both support paths to citizenship for many undocumented immigrants. Both have criticized ICE but neither support abolishing it.
