I withdrew ₦10,000 from a POS shop this morning but I was mistakenly paid ₦12,000.
A young boy attended to me.
Got to where I was going and counted the money.
₦12,000. He had given me ₦2,000 extra.
I went back to return it.
His mother was there when I arrived.
The moment I handed the ₦2,000 back to the boy, she slapped him so hard he hit the ground.
She didn't even thank me.
I stood there feeling like returning the money caused more harm than good.
My friend resigned from her bank job, where she was earning ₦350k monthly, because her husband begged her to stay home and take care of his sick mother.
He promised to keep paying her the same ₦350,000 every month.
She agreed.
For two years, she cared for his mother.
For two years, he never paid her a kobo.
Whenever she complained, he would say, "Don't you have food to eat?"
She quietly started applying for jobs.
She finally got one.
His first question was, "Who will take care of Mama?"
She replied, "Mama has other sons and daughters-in-law. Let them take their turn."
His family held a meeting.
Their verdict:
"Choose your new job or choose your marriage."
She stood up...
...and walked out of the meeting.
My husband keeps checking up on me every few minutes. He rubs my head, gives me a hug and return few minutes later to do same. I am usually very emotional. I will cry and move on but in the last 48 hours I have been numb. Just numb.

If you witnessed the Lekki shootings of #EndSARS protesters by soldiers and you're comfortable sharing your experience with the international community, please get into my DM🙏.
Lagos turned off the lights & removed cameras. Military showed up & opened fire on peaceful protesters. Today the Army denies it, the Governor says it was "forces beyond our direct control", the IG & Security Chiefs still have jobs, and the President is silent. What a disgrace.
Forces beyong your control can remove CCTV camera without the state approval, forces beyong your control permit the army fully equip with gun to shoot at innocent lives, forces beyong your control shut down the light at the toll gate, just know that there is God
This is the toughest night of our lives as forces beyond our direct control have moved to make dark notes in our history, but we will face it and come out stronger.
I've just concluded visits to hospitals with victims of this unfortunate shooting incident at Lekki .
Sanwo-olu can continue saying the massacre yesterday was by “Forces beyond his control” but I’m 100% certain about one thing; no force or individual on earth could have removed the CCTV cameras at the Toll Gate without the permission of the Lagos state Government.
These things break one's heart. This is because tomorrow, it will translate to abuse in addition to what is already rampant- some patients trying to abuse nurses on duty.
1. Tunde said nurses are freaks
2. Olamide and Wizkid in Omotoshan
3. Now, Wonma

Have always known him for his immoral song, but this is the height of it, am a Nigeria nurse and a proud one as that but am not a sexual object @Olamide#NursesAreNotSexualObjects
Dear Nigerian Artists, stop demeaning our profession while trying to entertain us... Bcoz
1. It doesn't make any sense.
2. You're sending wrong msg to the masses.
3. It could later lead to assault/bullying of nurses at their respective place of God.
#NursesAreNotSexualObjects
But here in Nigeria, nurses are portrayed in a bad light. Its shows the level at which Nigeria is in a mess. How can you just release a music video with insane content? No regulating body to checkmate these nonsense acts #NursesAreNotSexualObjects
So many outcry cause a music video made females dress as nurses and did what they would usually do without the attire. Our pain is the attire, this shows how devalued we are. #FemalesAreNotSexualObjects#NursesAreNotSexualObjects
The attack on the medical profession is unacceptable. These people deserve some respect honestly. If you can't respect people, atleast dont bring them down.
