No one is defaming the entire Manipur.
- The majority meiteis who failed to raise their voice & stop the inhumane acts committed by their own radical groups, hunting, raping, killing KukiZo community in broad daylight.
- The State law & order, powerless, with some state security personnel(commandos) assisting the meitei radical groups.
- The elected state representatives keeping mum, turning a blind eye.
- Only the tribal elected representatives spoke up to defend its citizens. They were treated as outcast and abandoned.
- The state media being controlled by the “you know who”. While some news channels reported incidents, they too were forced/threatened to look the other way.
The icing on the cake? The meitei civil organizations focused on blaming the Kuki Zo community more, and supporting its ethnic cleansing. Instead of trying to stop further violence and making peace talks with the radical groups/mobs, they ignore our pleas and cries. They abandoned us.
I never once in my life, thought that I would undergo such traumatic incident. Running for our lives, sleepless nights, constantly under fear of a mob finding the location you and your whole family was hiding in & coming barging in, not knowing if you will live to see another day. The constant thought of whether they will spare the women in my family while clearly knowing that the men would not be left alive.
But I truly thank God for the VERY SMALL countable meitei families for their sacrifice in making themselves targets of the mobs for sheltering us, and saving us. And I can’t express how much the nagas and muslim community has done for us, especially for the families and students of kuki zo who stayed in rented houses when the ethnic cleansing started in Imphal.
Manipur: Women protesters allegedly attacked Assam Rifles with stones and petrol bottles, attempting to burn the troops. Meanwhile, Assam Rifles are trying to maintain peace and stability in Manipur. #Manipur#Nagaland#Kuki#Naga#Ukhrul
Look at the smile & calmness in face of commanding officer of Indian army leading from front his battalion while Tangkhul Naga protesters are throwing petrol bombs at his soldiers.
Men are brave.

Army Officer talking decently in best possible manner to protesters in Manipur with dignity. But what lady protester did is shameful.
> What did the woman do in return? She climbed into his Army vehicle and tore his uniform. Yet, despite the provocation, he did not raise a hand against her, something he could easily have done but chose not to.
> What followed was action by troops to disperse militant sponsored Mob blocking army vehicles.

Candle Light Vigil at Moreh Town in Tengnoupal District for our three beloved pastors who were ambushed and killed yesterday.
The people of Moreh gathered to pay homage, earnestly praying for the bereaved families and for the departed soul to rest in peace 🕊️💌 @ChristianIndia_
This Meitei MP is very cunning.
When they want to target the community, everyone is labelled “Kuki.” But when it is time to face consequences and punishment for their crimes, suddenly it becomes Gangte, Thadou, Paite, Vaiphei, Hmar, Zou etc.
Social Media Post Allegedly Mocking Slain Kuki Pastors Triggers Outrage, Calls for Action
15 May 2026: — A Facebook post by “Andy Mm’s Videos” has sparked widespread condemnation after it was widely shared with allegations that it mocks the bodies of three Kuki pastors killed on 13 May.
The post includes a caption in Meitei script: “Fjna noktharehe Kukiland ywdorena .....” and an image of three men laughing with text overlay “Kukiland fngena nokthare.” An accompanying caption accuses a “Meitei individual” of “shamelessly mocking and showing deep disrespect toward the deceased bodies” of Rev. Vumthang Sitlhou, Pastor Paogoulen, and Pastor Kaigoulun.
The three Thadou Baptist Association pastors were killed in an ambush on 13 May while returning from a religious meeting in Kangpokpi District. The post has drawn anger from community members who called it “the utter defilement of grief itself” amid ongoing mourning and a hostage crisis involving 14 Kuki civilians.
Condemnation from Kuki Community:
We condemn in the strongest terms the mockery of the lifeless bodies of Rev. Vumthang Sitlhou, Pastor Paogoulen, and Pastor Kaigoulun. To ridicule the dead is to abandon basic humanity.
Even in this hour of deep mourning and unbearable pain, their deaths are being turned into spectacle. This is not just hatred. This is the utter defilement of grief itself. There is no shame, no limit to the cruelty when laughter is aimed at murdered pastors.
Mocking the dead solves nothing. It only deepens wounds and fuels more hate. The three pastors were unarmed men of faith. Their families deserve dignity, not derision.
Shame on anyone who ridicules the slain. We demand that platforms remove content celebrating death and that authorities act against those inciting communal hate. Let the dead rest. Let justice speak.

Thankyou our brethren in Christ, the Nagas of Nagaland. The Kukis and Nagas have been living together peacefully since time immemorial until the Tangkhuls who are the blood brothers of Meitei hijacked the politics of Nagaland and called themselves Naga and started systematic elimination of Kuki Chiefs from 1960 onwards. @aprajitanefes@ramindesai@vijaita@Nagaland_Post@NagalandTribune@Eastern_Mirror
The dastardly murder of three Pastors in #Manipur marks a slide to a bottomless pit. It risks 'an eye for an eye' bid to make us all blind. If this madness isn't stopped at once, we'll all be consumed by mutual hatred. Our future generation will never forgive our mindless acts!
🚨MANIPUR NAGA - KUKI HOSTAGE CRISIS 🚨
❗Chronology of Events
https://t.co/RPso2ZxK0w ambush takes place in which three pastors belonging to the Kuki-Mizo community are killed. The attackers escape towards Ireng Naga and abduct 6 Kuki civilians along the way.
https://t.co/5qDUqu7OWV retaliation, villagers from Leilon Vaiphei detain 12 Manipur Naga civilians as hostages.
3.After learning about the detention of the 12 Manipur Naga civilians in Leilon, the SDSA detains 23 Kuki labourers from Taphou who had gone to Manipur Naga areas for their regular commercial wood extraction work, along with 2 additional Kukis from Senapati Bazaar.
4.This brings the total number of Kuki hostages in Manipur Naga custody to 31 (23 from Taphou + 2 from Senapati Bazaar + 6 from Ireng Naga).
5.Before the hostage exchange takes place, two Kuki hostages manage to escape from captivity.
6.The SDSA later releases one Kuki minor.
7.Kukis then retaliate again by detaining 2 Naga Catholic Brothers, including one from Nagaland. This brings the total number of Naga hostages in Kuki custody to 14.
8.The Army intervenes and proposes a one-for-one hostage exchange.
9.Kukis object to the proposal, arguing that they hold only 14 Naga hostages while a much larger number of Kukis had been taken hostage, making a one-for-one exchange unfair.
10.Talks fail, and families of the hostages begin protesting.
11.Indian Army and State Government representatives later assure the Kukis that all hostages would be returned alive. Based on this assurance, the Kukis release all 14 Naga hostages in their custody.
https://t.co/OIpKZDjnhF return, the Manipur Naga side releases 14 Kuki hostages. This count includes the Kuki individual who had earlier been separated due to withdrawal symptoms, along with the minor released earlier.
13.Out of the original 31 Kuki hostages, 2 escaped, 1 minor was released, and 14 were eventually released. The remaining 14 Kuki men are still unaccounted for and are now feared dead.

@Paari_Athouba@vijaita@the_hindu Athouba you are fake news personified. It doesn't suit you issuing certificates to well established journalists. You are a motormouth liar who starts lying the moment you open your trap. We have seen you going extra lengths to first lie and then repeat your lies. Just lay off.

Hon’ble MP and National Chairman The All India Congress Committee Minority Department Shri Imran Pratapgarhi strongly condemns the brutal and cowardly ambush in Kangpokpi district of Manipur in which three respected Church leaders of the Thadou Baptist Association (TBA) tragically lost their lives.
We express our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families, the Christian community and the people of Manipur during this painful and tragic moment.
The deceased Church leaders —Rev. Dr. Vumthang Sitlhou, President, TBA IndiaRev. Kaigoulun Lhouvum, Finance Secretary, TBAPastor Paogoulen Sitlhou, Superintendent Pastor, TBA —were dedicated servants of faith, peace and humanity. Their loss is not only a loss to the Christian community but to the entire nation.
Targeting religious and minority leaders through violence is an attack on the very foundations of democracy, secularism and communal harmony. Such repeated incidents in Manipur expose the complete failure of the BJP Government to restore peace, security and confidence among minority communities in the state.
