I just find it crazy that since moving into a more densely populated black community in Atlanta, @ATT drags their feet to restore our internet whenever it goes out. Meanwhile, in Buckhead I can’t even think of a time we were out of service. Do better.

It’s bothers me too much. Listening to my mom speak Kpelle and not understanding a thing pains me. When I asked why they never spoke it to us as children, she says they figured we wouldn’t have use for it here in the U.S.

To my first generation American Liberians/Africans or those of us who immigrated here at a very young age. How much does not being able to speak our maternal & paternal languages bother you? Priceless parts of our culture will die with our generation sadly and it breaks me.
