Today Saturday 17th January, 2026

This morning in Damaturu, Yobe State, and Maiduguri, Borno State, we successfully harmonised the Obidient Movement with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) leadership, marking another significant step in our collective political journey.

In Maiduguri, Borno State, I met with the Obidient Movement Collegiate Team led by Mr. Ayuba Wakawa, alongside the Borno State Interim Leadership of ADC, under the leadership of Alhaji Ali Bukar Wurge.

The ADC leadership warmly welcomed the Obidient Movement into the party, describing the harmonisation as timely, strategic, and necessary for strengthening the party’s grassroots presence across the state. They reaffirmed ADC’s firm commitment to internal democracy, inclusiveness, and the empowerment of youths, women, and community leaders as key drivers of sustainable political change.

In Yobe State, I also met with Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim Jawa, together with the Obidient Movement Collegiate Team led by Mallam Haruna Zaana, where similar commitments and shared resolve were reaffirmed.

This is action time!

We must rise with unity, purpose, and determination to reclaim our country and rebuild its future.

Arise and shine — a New Nigeria is POSSIBLE.

Investing in Education and Skills for a Stronger Nigeria

I had the privilege of visiting ADON institutions yesterday and donated a total of ₦15 million to enhance health and technical education. This includes ₦10 million for the ADON College of Health Technology in Nnewi and ₦5 million for the ADON Vocational and Technical Academy in Ozubulu. Both of these institutions are part of the missionary initiative of the Anglican Diocese of Nnewi, which guides our youth toward productive paths and equips them with valuable skills.

The ADON College of Health Technology in Nnewi trains skilled health professionals, while the ADON Vocational and Technical Academy empowers local youth with technical and vocational skills, facilitating their transition into productive careers.

These institutions address critical gaps in education and skill development, which are essential for the growth of our communities. My support for both institutions stems from the belief that education and skill development are the foundation for a productive and sustainable Nigeria.
