Seminaries were created to train ministers, not provide graduate theological education.
The church has suffered because her seminaries have confused these things.
The Protestant church needs to detox from the past 60 years of church-growth garbage and get back to biblical, historic worship.
When people visit @kingswayarizona and see reverently dressed people following a liturgy, kneeling for corporate confession, singing psalms and hymns, embracing expository preaching, and including our children in service, they either love it or hate it.
Interestingly, Gen Z tends to love it, while Boomers tend to hate it. Boomers are still stuck in coffee-shop-rock-band Christianity, while the younger generation can see the apparent bankruptcy of that approach.
Young Christians want serious Christianity.
If Protestants want to keep their young people, they must drop gimmicks, pageantry, and pragmatism. They must return to who they were at the Reformation—a serious, biblical, deeply reverent, and robust community of believers.
What’s wrong with foreign aid?
1. It is dehumanizing.
2. It disincentivizes enterprise and innovation.
3. It encourages irresponsibility, over-dependency, and entitlement.
4. It enables political corruption.
5. It dishonestly funds the lavish lifestyles of international NGO workers.
6. It advances socialism and Marxist dogma.
7. It is a vehicle of leftist propaganda.
8. It facilitates globalism.
9. It funds infanticide (abortion).
10. It deepens poverty with a veneer of ‘development’.
The principle that women are not to rule in society is not new—it is historical, reformed, and biblical. It was a core principle of the first Christendom. Sadly, it is rarely applied today in conservative churches.
John Knox: "To promote a woman to bear rule, superiority, dominion, or empire above any realm, nation, or city, is repugnant to nature; contumelious to God, a thing most contrary to his revealed will and approved ordinance; and finally, it is the subversion of good order, of all equity and justice." — The First Blast of the Trumpet Against the Monstrous Regiment of Women
Women trading the household for a boardroom and voting booth has been an unparalleled disaster for the family and for Western civilization.
Repentance and reform will look like women going home to make babies, raise them, and love their husbands.
If there were useless women in the world they are feminists who fought to literally destroy women and all that was pure, proper and womanly in the name of liberating them from strict societal/religious morality.
One destructive thing that feminists did is making the virginity and the innocence of women to be nothing. They pushed women into the constant society and communion with men and destroyed the protection that women had when they were kept apart from men and chaperoned.
This is feminisms legacy:
-The greatest genocide in history
-Transgenderism
-Sexual promiscuity
-Declining birth rates
-Broken homes
-Embittered women
-Mental health disorders
-Emasculated men
-Vulnerable women and children
-Statist policies that corrupt law and harm economies
Many "christian" fathers will pay big money to send their girls to college where they become a well used mattress with a drinking problem.
The same fathers will spend little to no effort helping their daughters find a godly husband. This is absurd.
Fathers should provide for their unmarried daughters until they marry. The father hands his daughter off to her husband at the wedding who will now be her provider. This is God’s protection/provision for women but women wanted to be independent and free from all such restraints.
It's not out of this world to make it your aim to hear your husband truthfully join the Holy Book in saying:
Proverbs 31:29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
I asked the head of a classical Christian school how he measures success.
He rattled off a number of things and I was completely shocked and amazed.
- future church attendance
- community involvement
- faithful marriages
- civic engagement
Gender equality is a feminist strategy with the insidious goal of destroying patriarchy. This attack on patriarchy assaults the integrity of churches, households, and public squares; leaving women and children vulnerable to be preyed on by evil and cunning men.
