@fabulousmystic @pejic839 @Babingiii @DATGUYCOOP Other monster catchers also know to try be creative in their capture methods rather than copying pokemon. There's more than just throwing. Some games have traps. Some you tame the monsters. Some you befriend them.

The only competitor Nintendo has genuinely been shaken by is Yokai watch because they have a similar target audience.

@Dar_K_stuff Or they copy concepts. For example, this comparison. A wizard/warlock fire fox is a rather specific concept to just come up on your own. There are more examples of this 2/2

@Dar_K_stuff No. When pokemon does it, it takes inspiration from yokai, animals, real life etc. When palworld does it (for these examples) it takes inspiration from Pokemon. I feel this isn't too hard to grasp. Palworld does have original designs but it also has unoriginal ones. 1/2

@Dar_K_stuff You're being disengeious. These are just different interpretations of crabs. Pals deliberately take design cues pokemon use in their designs rather than just the inspired concept. If Krabby was a rabid crab, you would have a point. But it's not.

@ThePhoenixPress You're purposely ignoring the fact that Pals clearly take more inspiration from Pokemon than what the pokemon are based on. That is my point. No other self-respecting monster-collecting game does this. I just gave you examples. It's not hard to grasp. They know what theyre doing.

@ThePhoenixPress Again you're missing the point. Pal's design is clearly based on Lucario while Lucario has it's own take on Anubis. Notice how these Anubis-inspired designs managed to look nothing like Lucario?

@ThePhoenixPress Look me dead in the eye and tell me this isn't a less inspired version of lucario? I've never seen another anubis design that looked remotely like Lucario because Lucario is distinct enough to hold it's own identity outside of it's inspiration.

@ThePhoenixPress Did you intentionally misread what I said? Pokémon designs aren't inspired by DQ designs. They share similar inspirations. Honestly, even with that image, they don't really look alike cause these are genuinely just animals 😭.
