I killed my sense of entitlement a very long time ago. Nobody owes me anything. I wish for the best and still expect the worse from anyone; and nobody is coming to save me but me.
Arsenal have conceded more than two goals just once in the Premier League over the last two seasons, yet you have the likes of Peter Crouch predicting that Arsenal will concede 3 goals against Chelsea simply because Chelsea beat Fulham and a weakened Brighton side.
Someone once said that when it comes to Arsenal, people lose the ability to think.
Gabriel Jesus is stalling so that the window closes and he stays.
This is the mentality you people are saying helped us become champions?
The mentality of running down your contract so you get a huge sign on bonus for a club that you have missed over 60 games through injury for?
If his mentality was elite, he would definitely be going to fight for a starting shirt elsewhere.
I like Pep Guardiola but it gives me extra joy to see what Arteta did to him last season. I wanted that so bad. It wouldn’t have meant as much if we won after his departure.
That City Documentary showing their reaction to Arsenal winning the league is one of the best pieces of cinema to come out this year.
Compared to Spider Man, this is real cinema with zero acting.
Just pure undiluted pain. You can’t teach this at any acting school.
I earned $120K a year working for Shell in 2012.
Ten years and multiple promotions later, in 2022, that figure has doubled to $240K a year.
In 2023, I stumbled on an internal, confidential, document that showed the salaries of my superiors.
I saw that even if I were promoted multiple times again, the best I could hope for in another 10 years was another doubling to around $480K a year.
This may sound crazy saying it out loud but that wasn’t cutting it for me.
I simply didn’t want the next 10 years to be a repeat of the last 10.
I wanted geometric progression, not an arithmetic one.
On my 40th birthday, in 2023, I was asked to make a wish as a blew the candles on my birthday cake.
“Get the hell out of Shell,” I quietly whispered. Months later, I was out.
In 2024, my businesses grossed $500K; in 2025, they did $1M - geometric progression.
It required me to be delusional about my abilities, to bank on the faithfulness of God and to trust that inner voice that always nag at me that I could be more, I could do more and I could have more.
I just like that Bruno Guimarães is not fighting with Newcastle.
He’s 29 soon, he has given some of his best years to Newcastle.
He had a gentleman’s agreement to leave the club if it’s suitable and if they have learnt anything from the Isak situation, they prepare his successor and allow him say farewell to his supporters.
I know many Newcastle fans might not like Arsenal but as a club, we are way ahead in our footballing project.
Your captains dream will come true.
This is why I always maintain Ronaldo is the GOAT.
You can argue about who the better footballer is. That’s a football debate, and everyone will have their reasons.
But “greatest” goes beyond pure football ability.
Greatness is about the size of your legacy. It’s about the lives you inspired, the standards you set, the records you left behind, the longevity, the consistency, the influence across generations, and the impact you had on the sport itself.
Ronaldo didn’t just dominate an era. He changed what people believed was physically and mentally possible in football. He redefined professionalism, discipline, and self-belief. He became the blueprint for millions of young players around the world.
There are players who entertained us. There are players who amazed us. Then there’s Cristiano Ronaldo, who made an entire generation believe that relentless work could take you to the very top.
Look at the numbers. The all-time leading goalscorer. Success in England, Spain, Italy, and with Portugal. Five Champions Leagues. A European Championship. A Nations League. Countless individual awards. Nearly two decades of performing at the highest level.
But even those achievements don’t fully explain his greatness.
His influence extends far beyond trophies. Walk into almost any country in the world and ask a child to name a footballer. Cristiano Ronaldo will almost always be one of the first names mentioned. Millions copied his celebration, his haircut, his free-kick stance, his mentality, his work ethic. He became more than a footballer, he became a global sporting icon.
That’s the difference.
The best is about ability.
The greatest is about the totality of what you represent to the game.
For me, no footballer has combined elite performance, longevity, worldwide influence, consistency, commercial appeal, inspiration, and an unmatched winning mentality quite like Cristiano Ronaldo.
That’s why I call him the GOAT. 🐐
Let’s even talk about this eye test bs.
You’re impressed by body feints & twists, I’m impressed by step overs & chopbacks.
You’re impressed by crossfield passes, I’m impressed by 40 yard shots.
You’re impressed by ball control & first touch, I’m impressed by intelligent positioning & aerial ability.
Why are your parameters more important than mine. Are you mad?
Before Messi there was Maradona and we all thought we wouldn't see another Maradona.
There was Ben Arfa, now Yamal and even Amad plays like Messi too but doesn't have the numbers yet.
The world has only ever had one Cristiano Ronaldo. There has never been one quite like him.
Messi fans say Pelé’s three World Cups don’t make him greater than Messi.
So why does Messi’s one World Cup suddenly make him greater than Ronaldo?
You cannot say trophies don’t define greatness when Pelé is involved, then use one trophy as the entire argument against Cristiano. Pick a standard and stick to it.
I honestly haven’t watched anyone born of Man that plays football better than Cristiano Dos Santos Aviero Ronaldo.
He’s the most complete player I have watched in my life Man.
They called him Penaldo , he did not sue.
They called him fraud, he did not sue.
They said he’s holding his team back , he did not sue.
They created fake news and narratives about him and his family.. he did not sue.
Ordinary Messi chinwo that we called Argentine Madueke he just dey shout suii suii 🤣
Messi deserved the golden ball ahead of Rodri because he scored 8 goals and 4 assists against AFCON teams but Mbappe who scored 10 goals and made 4 assists against stronger teams doesn't deserve it 😂😂😂
It will be very hard for Messi fans to make heaven, it's no longer funny
A gun to my head, I will never agree that there are two GOATs. There can only be one GOAT, and that person is Cristiano Ronaldo. Everyone else is simply a great player, not the GOAT.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the perfect example of what a footballer should be. He has achieved both collective and individual greatness, on and off the pitch.
He is the GREATEST OF ALL TIME. No one else.
Saying that Enzo Red card is dubious is actually mental.
If there was cheating in that game, it was against Spain. Spain scored a clean goal and VAR didn’t take a look at it. In a World Cup final. All because the ref was biased towards Argentina.
Back to Enzo, It is the most obvious second yellow card of all time.
The first one was for dissent, right after, he did a sarcastic clap which should ordinarily have gotten him a second yellow. The ref overlooked it.
