Today in Rome, I could see different government delegates from other countries, including China and Singapore, right here to support their students for International STEM Olympiad.
No single government delegate from Nigeria.
Is this how much our government abhors education?

Disadvantages of learning alone on YouTube
✅You will not belong to a community. Won't meet new friends in the industry
✅No accountability partner(s)
✅No assessments
✅No mentorship

We do not understand how Poor Nigeria is as a country.
- Apart from oil and gas, no sector in Nigeria is worth 100 Billion dollars
- Akwa Ibom ( one of the richest states ) has a budget of 630 million dollars for a year. Harvard, a university had an operating budget of 6.4 Billion dollars last year. Which means Harvard university runs a budget 10 times larger than Akwa Ibom state as a whole
- No restaurant in a country with over 150 million people makes revenue that is worth 100 million dollars.
- Kogi state made 259 million dollars last year. Starbucks, a coffee business, made 36 Billion dollars last year in revenue.
- Lagos state, the most prosperous state in Nigeria made 866 million dollars last year. Starbucks made over 25 times what Lagos( our biggest state ) made last year
- Put all the Nigerian banks together, they have a market value of about 10 Billion dollars. Which means starbucks generated 3 times the valuation of all Nigerian banks put together
And to those who will start shouting, "Why calculate in dollars". Its because wealth is calculated in USD. Its how much you do well in USD that really tells if you are doing well
Now to a solution.
We must plug the low hanging fruits.
- Last mile infrastructure
- LGA/Council restructuring
- Quality Basic education
- Increased consumerism by improving LGA/Council entertainment & recreation
- Accessible Primary healthcare
- The embracing of private capital across board
- The aggressive redesign of Nigerian retail at LGA/council levels. Bring in Ebeano, Hmedix, etc to lead.
- Modularization of our electricity at LGA/council level
- New LGA/Council laws on house ownership or else PEs will be designed to buy up the houses if the owners are incapable
etc etc
So many basic things are the basic level can shoot up our economy to 700 Billion dollars in 5-7 years
I wish there were more opportunities for youths to travel. At least from inter continental travel, they can see how things work outside of their environment.
I see no need to charge for a visa within Africa. We need to get this right. Lesser barriers for our youths!
