On 4th October 2025, Akor Adams made his debut for the Nigerian Super Eagles, and from that very first match, he has shown why he belongs at the heart of the team.

At the ongoing AFCON, he has formed a lethal attacking trio alongside Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, scoring two goals and providing two assists, delighting fans with his skill, vision, and energy on the field.

Now, at 25 years old, he is one of the first names on the team sheet, a remarkable rise for a player who only recently earned his first call-up.

With the guidance and support of Mr. Adeshola, Akor Adams left home at a young age to join Jamba Football Academy in Kaduna, where his football dream began to take shape. In 2017, he traveled to Abuja for a major trial with a scouting team led by renowned scout Attah Aneke, and he stood out by finishing as the best player of the tournament.

In August 2018, at just 18 years old, Akor made a big move from Nigeria to Europe, signing for Sogndal in Norway. The transition was tough, adjusting to a new country, culture, and style of football was not easy. He made his club debut on 28 August 2018, but his journey was tested when injury kept him out for most of the 2020 season.

His contract with the club ended in 2021.

Akor Adams was born in Kogi State, Nigeria, but his family comes from Otukpa in Benue State. He grew up in Minna, Niger State, where his father worked as a teacher and his mother was a librarian.

Like many young boys in Nigeria, Akor fell in love with football at an early age. His passion and natural ability were noticed by Mr. Ibrahim Adegbola Adeshola, the CEO of Giants FC, who discovered him while he was playing at Net Shakers Tunga Goro. From there, his raw talent was carefully developed at Jamba Football Academy in Kaduna, where his football journey truly began.
