Soderbergh is no Whedon and lots of other factors are different from Justice League in 2017, so hopefully everything is above board with The Batman Part II.

I do know personally, I spent a lot of energy very confidently supporting the official story for JL17 before it released, and being so loudly and confidently wrong ended up being quite humbling, so "trust the official story" in a case like this is a tough ask.

Regardless, it's clear Matt Reeves and his family are going through it, so prayers for them, since that's all far more important than a movie.

Reeves refused for years to give his Batman to Gunn, and seemingly played his cards right by having De Luca & Abdy protecting him because it was a race to see who'll survive the merger between De Luca & Abdy and Gunn & Safran, but as soon as they lost the fight it was wraps.
