hi

[obliv @Obl1v]

@FunkyTK1 @EskayOW @Maneet5ingh but it gets wierd because i feel like it would be totally fair for someone 1-2 years or longer into transition to play and win these tourneys

it just feels wrong to me that the people who just transitioned go on to win these tournaments

but can’t really draw a line like that

[obliv @Obl1v]

@FunkyTK1 @EskayOW @Maneet5ingh I agree they’d suffer the same opposition and need a safe space

But don’t most ppl who transition do so when they r older?

they wudn’t suffer that opposition that pushes them out & prevents women from “getting good” until alrdy benefiting for the most part which is unfair imo

[obliv @Obl1v]

@Xingu1arity_ @EskayOW @Maneet5ingh im asking a question to a comment that said “women don’t get the same opportunity as men” for a reason why esports is male dominated

it is entirely relevant what?

[obliv @Obl1v]

@Xingu1arity_ @EskayOW @Maneet5ingh that combined with genetic differences (reaction times, hand eye coordination) which i’m not sure if there’s reliable studies on just yet seem to be enough to convince me they should play separate

perhaps HRT does nullify those bio differences though i’d have to research

[obliv @Obl1v]

@Xingu1arity_ @EskayOW @Maneet5ingh Not talking about biology here though; Strictly about environment in esports

A bio male has their whole childhood onward playing games in an environment that’s accepting them vs most bio females don’t play games and the ones that do aren’t given equal opportunity as eskay said

[obliv @Obl1v]

@EskayOW @Maneet5ingh genuine q:
if women don’t get the same opportunity as men because men grow up in an environment around other men who are playing games & welcome each other into comp teams/opportunities

isn’t transitioning putting that person w/ those opp at an advantage to bio females?

[obliv @Obl1v]

@Airyxtotle same for me. I got bored of overwatch in like 2 hours yet somehow i’ve almost clocked 100 into marvel rivals alrdy 😭
