@OWCavalry I’ve been a hog main since 2016 and the pigpen rework was some of the MOST fun I’d ever had playing Overwatch specifically because my Junkrat duo and I could layer our traps and hook people into them for basically insta-kills. I’m gonna really miss that

@plushtards @ovr4ted @M1das_OW2 @OWCavalry in OW1 the devs used to joke he and Mercy were married; they often used Hog’s physical appearance contrasted with their female cast as a “joke”, to say that “oh yeah, look, the beautiful woman likes HIM” to make Hog the punchline for ships. So this really isn’t much of anything.

thank you so much. hated it too. didn‘t understand why everyone loved it. because it‘s just bad. horrendously so. from the writing quality to the characterisations. portaying rat like an absolute tool. him giving up his treasure (why). hog being an asshole and ok with them - 1/3

Idk if even the OW1 writers ever had a full plan for his treasure but if there ever WAS…can we please learn about it 😭🙏

@EntropicTeddy That awful education system line she has in the game is a good example - it tosses away her character to give “comedy” but it doesn’t make sense and just comes across as weird, and almost a bit infantilizing of her character.

@EntropicTeddy Like in this short story for example, I get they’re kind of going for almost a physical comedy on Junkrat’s behalf, but it just comes across as uncomfortable. Like..She can be badass and hard but *also* funny without it being one or the other y’know?
