PhD student researching meaning in (elite) sport @UniBern, sport psychology practitioner, multiple Olympian πΆπ¦π₯, loving mum&wife, nature lover π³π
Prof @AdrianBauman et al. could not have said it in clearer terms. The explosion of pay-to-play journals has flooded the literature with low-quality evidence, making it hard, if not practically impossible, to separate the wheat from the chaff.

@valeria_eckardt Thanks a lot for giving me the opportunity to discuss my take on meaning(fulness) with your students! It was great to see them so engaged with all the practical exercises too. π
Very insightful discussions around finding (or creating?) meaning as a psychological resource in today's MSc sport psych class. Thank you, @Oblinger_Peters, for making the fuzzy concept of meaning in sports more tangible for us.
Very happy that our article is finally available OA in PSE. A long but meaningful journey in elite sport π€βπ»ππ.
Thanks ππ»!

.@DrSamMorris and the IAPS team is starting a new series of interviews with philosophers of sports in a podcast-style, hosted on our YouTube page.
Our first guest will be William J. Morgan.
We're crowd-sourcing questions for the talk.
What should we ask Dr. Morgan?

@fepsac2022 & @QRSE2022 left me with so many ideas! Thank you to the organizing committees who have done an outstanding job in bringing the scientific community together!! I am in awe, feeling thankful & inspired for decades of research in sport psychology π€πͺπ»π§ βπ»!
Thank you @Gareth_Wilts for making it possible to (virtually) attend more than one presentation of this excellent @QRSE2022 at the same time. Thought provoking ideas π‘ and lots of ideas to develop - thank you ππ» π§ .
Three days of #QRSE2022 behind - thanks for the opportunity to participate online! Our presentation with @Mike__McD focused on different ways psychologists, sociologists, philosophers and anthropologists have conceptualised #meaning. Lots of tensions to explore further.
