@AvatarKimmie This dude was only 31 and had a family Tf is wrong with you. His wife and kids have to see a literal video of their husband/father getting shot and dying what appears to be instantly.
You dont have to agree with everything that someone says to have a bit of empathy and respect.
@adriancruce I really hope this is a joke. A world filled with Lil Nas X is a world without children. Andrew Tate cares for children, cares for women, etc. He’s not anti women and if you listen to him a bit instead of being a typical internet person he actually protects women.
@yinyang54@bearded_priest Not trynna play a moral high ground, I’m just saying in my experience being respectful and chivalrous where possible 100% works better than just being an asshole. People nowadays don’t understand the difference between simping and chivalry.
@bearded_priest @jazayee_ 2 types of men in the world: those who see the horrible modern world and choose to throw their values out the window, and those who see the horrible modern world and keep their values and their head held high. Snarky remarks like this lead to the former.
@atowphil@Joskiila@mikemajlak Absolutely not, however recently 100%. Relying on machinery/technology to entertain, relying on machinery/technology to date, etc is 100% a negative thing.
@atowphil@Joskiila@mikemajlak Not necessarily, humans relied on hard work, manpower and physical labour for over 30,000 years. Only in the last 100-200 have we began reliance on machinery. We don’t understand the long term implications of this.
@Joskiila@atowphil@mikemajlak And back to the topic of devolving. It can never be seen as a good thing for our brain capacities to get smaller and our AI reliance to go up. I just gave megladons as an example, there’s plenty of other apex predators who’s habitats have become too easy and force devolution.
@Joskiila@atowphil@mikemajlak I think the cons of social media usage far outweigh the pros, especially at the moment. If you look at birth-rates, suicide rates, hook up culture, lib vs conservative political divide, etc. The internet is to blame for a lot of it. Especially in the western world.
@Joskiila@atowphil@mikemajlak I’ve heard people use the term “adapting” to describe global warming also. Stating that the world as an organism is simply adapting to intelligent life and it’s effects. Again though, we have to think about the implications and if the adaptation will move us forward or backward.
@atowphil@Joskiila@mikemajlak Social media is linked to poorer cognitive performance and poorer concentration than ever before. This is yet to mention attention spans of humans are rapidly decreasing (tiktok). Human population getting smarter is due to women getting smarter because of access to education.
@Joskiila@mikemajlak I agree to an extent, however the mass information also creates a mass reliance on it. Nobody is truly intelligent anymore and nobody truly retains knowledge. Not to mention the negative social aspects of being on a phone all the time.
@tobiisobito_ @ssalandy9 @RapCaviar@icespicee_ I didn’t say that, I said that mental health issues have a cause. They don’t just come out of the blue. It’s not just “randomly heaps of men wanna kill themselves” there is cause and effect like everything in this world. You want stats: https://t.co/jVnUm9Vjo1
@tobiisobito_ @ssalandy9 @RapCaviar@icespicee_ Mental illness is caused and inflicted and isn’t “caught”. You can’t blame suicide on mental illness because mental illness stems from issues.
@tobiisobito_ @ssalandy9 @RapCaviar@icespicee_ In the USA more MEN died at their own hands in 2021 (almost 45,000) than people (men and women) died at the hands of guns (37,000). Explain why it’s mostly men? Explain why the left pushes the agenda of violent men shooting people instead of the agenda of helping men mentally?
