Halsey got very warm on stage tonight and changed clothes. @halsey You don't know how much I was wishing I could do the same! The leather jacket was not a smart move. 😭 I had an amazing time though, thank you for a wonderful show!
Being part of a community means there are behaviours, expectations, and boundaries that should be respected. Being BTS’s ARMY is no different. Being ARMY means loving BTS — and real love includes respect. Part of it means not being a nuisance. Not causing them harm. Not making them feel uncomfortable or unsafe. If you can’t do that, then it’s not love — it’s entitlement — know that difference.
Just like in any functioning society, stalking someone can get you slapped with a restraining order — or even land you in jail. So how is stalking a celebrity any different? It’s not. You’re still crossing boundaries. You’re still making another human being feel unsafe. Forcing yourself into someone’s orbit when they clearly don’t want you there is harassment. And if you’re doing that or supporting that, you’re not a fan — you’re a problem. That behaviour doesn’t become acceptable just because the person is famous. If anything, it should make us even more mindful.
For over a decade, ARMY have worked hard to dismantle some of the most toxic, exclusionary parts of the music industry, idol culture, and fandom spaces. We’ve fought against treating BTS like commodities and have always tried to centre their humanity, their safety, and their peace. That’s the legacy. That’s the standard.
BTS entrusted us with their name. They’ve said we are their biggest voice. That means something. It’s a responsibility. So, when people who claim to be ARMY act in ways that humiliate BTS, damage their reputation, and make the world see their fandom as nothing but chaotic and obsessive — don’t be surprised when BTS get disrespected as a result. That public image? It doesn’t come out of nowhere. It comes from people like that — people who clearly don’t give a shit about BTS or this community, no matter what they wanna call themselves.
So yeah, don’t act confused when I get fucking furious, when you come into my comments trying to tell me that these people “are ARMY”. NO, THEY ARE FUCKING NOT. It pisses me off so fucking hard to see people defend behaviour that goes against everything BTS and ARMY stand for — and then still have the audacity to want to be counted as ARMY.
They’re not. And if you can’t see that, then maybe you’re not either.
The movie ‘Americana’ now has a new release date. It was set to be released on theaters on August 22nd but now it will be on theaters on August 15th!!!
Halsey plays the character Mandy Starr.
Nobody knows what I am planning to play, besides me. Not even my crew. You should have heard the panic to find the stools when I decided to do 929 in somerset. That’s why I do red herring soundchecks and print set lists wrong. < 3
@wolftraphowell OH! Also, Michael Shynes!!! He's a smaller musician, I was neighbors with his mom (who was also my Language Arts teacher)! My cousin-in-law's cousin (I think) was on The Voice and got pretty far too. (I don't know his name though.)
