MILITARY SUBMARINES WON'T BE ABLE TO HIDE MUCH LONGER.
QUANTUM IS THE REASON.
A submarine's steel hull bends Earth's magnetic field, leaving a disturbance that trails it through the water. Navies have hunted subs with magnetometers since World War II, but the sensors were so weak an aircraft had to pass almost directly overhead to notice.
Quantum magnetometers change that. Atomic and superconducting sensors read magnetic fields at sensitivities classical instruments can't approach, the same technology that just navigated a Pentagon aircraft across the Pacific with GPS off. Mount them on drones, aircraft, or seabed arrays and the detection range grows with every generation. China has reported airborne quantum magnetometer arrays built for exactly this.
Australia's defense analysts call it the "transparent ocean," and argue the seas could become effectively see through within decades, in the middle of a $200 billion bet on submarines.
Ballistic missile submarines exist because they can't be found. That's what makes a first strike unthinkable. A technology that finds them removes the floor under deterrence.
Quantum is making submarines invisible and visible in the same decade. Whichever side improves faster decides what the ocean is for.

@UngoppansLawyer This will sound corny and partisan. But Dravidian model period was super encouraging for these athletes. I am sure athletes across the nation will bloom with the right environment .
“The model had reached an external chatbot through a gap in DNS filtering.”
“It’s airgapped”
“Really airgapped?”
“Okay it’s just DNS”
Can we please stop acting like it’s Skynet or something?
The correct history for you. Ignoramus.
Aboriginal people looked after it and this land (Country and country) for 60000 years until British Invasion stuffed it.
Get real. Get educated.

Unfortunately, software engineering is dying. Lets check what is happening on many "developers" or "engineers":
- no architectural design or analysis
- no technical curiosity or understanding
- no respect to the quality
And the standard bar has been lowered from "excellent design, good and coherent implementation, comprehensive tests" into "I don't know shit about the design, I don't give a fuck about the codes, I don't care about tests, and Codex is taking care of all".
That means the definitive degradation of quality, and predictable decreasing of user experience.
When we don't care about the users, essentially, we are killing our industry.
This is the red alert, and this matters to us as software developers, critically.
Apparently all of these “AI is escaping containment” stories are actually just AI researchers not knowing jack squat about the absolutely most basic security practices.
THE MOMENT ANCY SOJAN WON SILVER! 🥈🇮🇳
Back-to-back Asian Games Silver medals for Ancy Sojan! 🥈🥈
She missed the GOLD by just 2cm! 😭💔
No worries, Champ. You made India proud! 🇮🇳❤️
It’s a bit of a stretch. DHH made Rails, a web framework which is now almost entirely dead due to almost legendary poor performance at scale, and some bullshit SaaS company in which they had an internal ranking page where employees voted on the “funniest ethnic customer names”
Oh come on. Quick look at colorshift (13x faster): HashMap in hot loop (unoptimized Rust vibeslop) is slower than indexed arrays (ASM). No shit. Numbers like 17x should raise eyebrows but reading the comments nobody is thinking anymore. This AI psychosis has fried people's brains
The dream of every career developer who hates programming but loves owning a Ferrari too much to quit, has always been to fail backwards into management role & never have to think again.
Agentic coding allows you to become the clueless manager without having to manage anyone.
