All of us keep crying and cribbing about "Dehat" & "Dehatis" but to our surprise something can be actually done about it .
∆+∆+∆+∆....n = real perceptible, change
This Brother actually did something, brought a change from his own scale
More power to you @PrateekUvacha Dada.
How my "content" influenced villagers in Western UP to end vulgar dances on the Ramleela stage
About the same time last year, I covered the 'Dehati Ramleela' in the hinterlands of Western UP. I made a documentary explainer critiquing the perversion of the glorious tradition of 'Ramleela' by obscene and vulgar dance performances by 'trans' artists on the Ramleela stage.
(The full video is available on my channel - Prateek Express)
Unlike well-meaning Hindus criticising this perversion, Muslims, Ambedkarites, Left-Liberals, and Atheists would often ridicule and mock the 'Ramleela' and 'Hinduism' itself.
Mocking/roasting it for a "million views" was a sure-shot guarantee of virality for me as well, but I didn't. I went there, talked to them, understood "their side of the story," and then presented a thorough picture as simply as possible. And as expected, not even 5,000 people watched it back then. However, it did trigger some discussions and criticism among the 'wise elders' and the "aware youth" in the Dehat.
I was a bit disheartened, but I knew that I had played my part. For I never intended to create a "viral controversy" to enforce an administrative ban, and only wanted people to THINK about changing it consciously.
A year later, news (pictures and videos as well) has come from the two villages I covered.
In one of these, the villagers and the Ramleela committee have mutually decided not to organise such dances altogether.
In the other, they have corrected the song choices, dance steps, and the revealing costumes to a great extent. The songs have changed from'Dilbar Mere Sanam', 'Ye Jalwa, Ye Jawani', & 'Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai' to 'Maine Kitne Deep Jalaye', 'Mai Bachi Ram ji Ki Kripa Se', and 'Bulaye Rahi Radha Pyaari'. The dresses have changed to relatively decent lehenga-cholis, unlike the ones where their "sexy" breast movements from past years would attract everything from lewd comments, whistles, and obscene sexual actions from the dehati crowds gathered to watch "Ramleela."
This time, no vulgar songs are being played, and no sexually provoking dances are being performed.
Mind you, I am talking about the 'Dehat' that people believe is beyond repair. But I believe if you have the honest intent and communicate in the language they understand, you can definitely move them in the right direction.
I am not saying my video ended it, but at least it triggered the thoughts that could bring about such positive and meaningful change. And this, for me, is SUCCESS.
My simple idea behind starting 'Prateek Express' was this only: Not to tell people what to think or do, but how to think. I am not your average 'views-maxxxxer' influenza, who speaks on every "trending" issue. I consciously choose the subjects where I can actually influence change and create some impact for a stronger Hinduism and a better Bharat.
I am now pivoting to scale the channel and working on crucial on-ground issues in the coming months. You will see this change soon after the current hiatus. I am grateful for all the support I get. Looking forward to more of it from you all.
In magnetism the poles generated are north and south.
But somehow in Our country East and West Poles are also generated. Even in the smaller subunits of the country, East and West Poles have existed for too long.
The top wish for most BJP supporters is that the party wins.
The second is that the Chief Minister should not turn out like the CMs of Madhya Pradesh or Rajasthan.
@VazeKshitij They didn't tell me their names. Actually the pune participants were in a couple of groups of their own, and they were kind of wary of me(a stranger endlessly yapping to them). But they were 2nd year students. And boys and girls both recognised you..
Stopped watching after "ruling our hearts for over 5000 years"🤡
Can't take anyone who can't think beyond the Jewish timelines of the world is 5/6000 yrs old nonsense seriously.
Frankly, literally nobody in the rest of the world cares that Pakistan hosts the “peace talks”. The narrative glazing Pakistan is manufactured to put some kind of pressure on GOI. Finds ready backers amongst deranged local and foreign India baiters.
The reality though is that Pakistan’s leaders live because India allows them to. This is the country’s real status.
Best to ignore.
I for one have always found this business of vishwaguru/vishwamitra quite cringe. I also turn off the moment I hear anyone say 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbhakam'. But what I am trying to understand is that during the halcyon days when we were actually playing VG/VM (the days when we were airing our views even if no one heard them or cared for them, much less acted on them...i mean the days when we pretended to be non-aligned and leader of third world) what war did our voice stop, what great change came in the world because we took a 'moral and principled stand'? Did the world come up to us and say, hey India because you are saying we shuld or should not do something, we are going to follow your lead? Oh because the Indians oppose something and have issued a statement against it, we shouldnt do it? Please educate me if ever such a thing happened. BTW even back then, we forgot our principles when convenient. In Eastern Europe and Afghanistan, we preferred to stay quiet and not take a stand. That doesn't mean we didnt protest with the Soviets. But we did it quietly, behind closed doors. I wonder where the diplomats who want us to take a strident stand today were standing back then.
A unique country that produces many bureaucrats and politicians who are so inferiority ridden that they seek validation from mortal enemies and former colonizers. Moreover, sliding into irrelevance triggers a strong urge to act obtusely with the intent of basking in the resulting spotlight. Any publicity is good publicity for such individuals. Cannot find acceptance at home since the Overton window has shifted? Look across the border, there are always takers. This is a mental disorder rooted in extreme self-loathing.
@BarooahNabaarun And the full one, not just keep repeating the first line to avoid going on the second as it would be made lot of noise and may result into another wave of "protests" or things like that.
#FundKaveriEngine movement reaches Kamakhya Shaktipeetha.
In the aero engine sector, it feels like only divine intervention can save us. We are still dependent on Amrika Bahadur’s kripa for LCA and other future program. I pray that Maa Kamakhya blesses us and guides us forward. Without developing our own jet engine, the dream of building an indigenous fighter aircraft will remain only on paper.
you must understand they’re just in for the love of the game. the journey is the destination.
you apply your rules. you want to end the game, collect the trophy and go retire in the countryside. but that’s not how they see it.
reconcile with this and move on.
