I started researching different fields, what they involved, and the skills they required.
At first, I was completely confused. Python, JavaScript, C++, and many other programming languages all sounded like different worlds. As I learned more, I realized they were simply tools.
I managed to graduate with a Second Class Upper Division in Chemistry, and I'm grateful for that. But deep down, I couldn't help thinking that I was capable of more, not just academically, but in how I approached life as a whole.
I'd heard people talk about tech for years. While I was in university, I even took the ALX Virtual Assistant programme after my sister, who was in the pioneer cohort, recommended it. That experience sparked my curiosity, so I decided to seriously explore what the tech world is.
Of course, NYSC was part of the plan, but I couldn't shake a different feeling. For a while, I'd felt that I wasn't giving my best in different areas of my life. Even though I was making progress, it never felt like I was operating at my full potential.
On the 10th of January, 2025, I wrote my final university examination. When I walked out of that exam hall, one question kept running through my mind:
