Maldonado CHEATED by intentionally letting a ball that was within a reasonable strike zone (ie based on earlier strikes from the same ump, same night) hit him to get a free base & steal momentum

Doesn’t give you permission to block the strike zone then retreat an inch, still have your elbow over the corner of the plate and act like that was an effort to dodge.
