@cirnosad It would not have mattered. If things are meant to be, they will simply come to pass even if we don't like the potential outcomes. You did not cause any of this to actually occur. Don't blame yourself for what transpired today for it was well beyond your control and reach.
@cirnosad Stress does hurtful things to our body and especially our mind. You have been dealing with bad news, to be frank, for the last few days. It builds up and just comes in when it wants to. What is currently transpiring is not helping either.
@joojo67011@cirnosad It can accumulate over time, especially if the amount of accumulation is controlled to a degree. Then when the time is right, bam, it all comes down within a matter of days instead of weeks or months.
@cirnosad I’m not sure the coast will even be attacked. I actually believe Russia, the US, Turkey, and other countries struck a deal on Syria. Even the SDF has made major gains as of late from withdrawing Syrian Army troops. Things seem too organized at the moment.
@cirnosad The Russians may be in on some type of deal that is occurring as we speak that we lack the details of. They may be allowed to keep those ports. Also, the HTS never prioritized the Western coast of Syria. They focused all the way to Damascus for a reason.
@cirnosad Some say that was the overall goal of what has transpired in Syria. The end goal was to kick out Iranian assets in the region for good with the fall of the Syrian government and military. Hence why many deals seem to be made on letting the Syrian Army just retreat.
@AMK_Mapping_ The reason for that is because you end up, regardless of your intentions, angering any and all sides related to what is because discussed. Pretty much if you are not for anyone, you are against them all. At least, that is how it would be seen by those that are upset.
@cirnosad@Chojieun43Min They are implying that there has been no updates since those claims were made. And until then, they are waiting to see if there really is an ongoing counter attack.
@cirnosad Indeed, then war came to their doorstep and people. People only truly start to care when it starts to impact their lives and livelihood. Hence why most of what you will see in the form of support to Palestinians or anyone in that situation, is just words and not actions.
@cirnosad To be frank, most people around the world don't have the time to actually care about what is going on in the Middle East. Look at the global response to what transpired in Gaza. Many countries have said some things to support Gaza but what have they actually done for them?
@cirnosad That happens to many others as well. If you don't simply support their side, regardless of your actual beliefs, they will label you an enemy/adversary. That is just the way of the internet and the social interactions that take place using it.
@cirnosad They chose to say what they did. It happens, Cirno. You countered by not covering that conflict anymore. No need to bring them up again. My advice, just keep moving forward. Don't seek apologies for vindication. Let time do that, if you are truly correct.
@cirnosad Or it was simply just a training mishap. Which is more likely to have occurred, objectively speaking? The Houthis have never been shy to take credit for downing any U.S aircraft before or even claim credit for striking a U.S carrier. To my knowledge, no claim has been made yet.
@Oldcrow07@cirnosad The Houthis would not have been shy to claim credit for such a feat. I personally did not see any such claim yet. Also, as I said, the nearby naval air base there is home to that very aircraft. It is more likely that is crashed in training than shot down, as things stand now.
@cirnosad With games like Helldivers 2 and Space Marine 2 making strong gains in player base and popularity, that does not feel like an issue. The amount of guys and their friends that, play those two games, is significant.
@KazzazLord@cirnosad Many people blame the West for prolonging the war for causing more suffering but, for some reason, forget that Russia had the capabilities to end this conflict much quicker which would have saved even more lives. Both sides are just taking advantage of this moment to test.
@simpatico771 Objectively, Russia performed below expectations during the first year. That is why the perspective was the way it was then. However, they learned their faults in the following years. Still, Iran/Israel and Russia/Ukraine are still quite different conflicts altogether.
@WildSage45@AlexanderFinn76 That is just factually wrong. Many Americans have a moral compass but at the end of the day, all the focus is at the local level. The last thing on their minds is what is happening in Gaza, Israel, or Ukraine. They are busying making sure their families are taking care of.
