Omg I cannot believe some of you seriously think I think this.
Life is like a box of chocolates, sometimes you get caramel butterscotch and sometimes you get a global pandemic.
Already we are treating families who caught Covid when a relative joined them on Christmas Day, only to test positive afterwards.
I’m not sure I can ever forgive @BorisJohnson for inviting Christmas mixing. He’s supercharged the pandemic 😔

I've had elderly patients say to me "I don't understand how I got COVID, I've been so careful. I wear a mask, clean my hands, and only go out to the shops" through tears and the oxygen mask.
The problem is that no matter how careful you are, actions of individuals affect others.
Fact: COVID-19 vaccines have not been cooked up in a few months. They have been years in the making, starting with a wealth of SARS and MERS vaccine research.
@DrJEMcK It’s just wonderful how it’s commented on by the dean of anaesthesia but no mention of the RCN on the matter. How about safety of nurses also. Talk about increasing burnout rates=significantly diminishing crit care nurses.
Germany reported 14,964 new covid cases & 42 deaths in past 24hrs - and just announced a new national lockdown.
The UK reported 24,701 new cases & 310 deaths in past 24hrs - and hasn't.
Is @BorisJohnson's dithering leading us into another disaster?
