He is asking that the Constitution be respected and the law applied fairly and equally.

The rights Dr. Besigye asserts are not his alone. They are the rights of every Ugandan, rights he and his NRM bush war comrades fought to restore.

If the rights of one citizen can be denied, then the rights of every citizen become less secure.
