@StevenHeathen I’ve been wondering the same thing. They will have a lot more $ to work with next year and all these rookies will be a year more experienced. I think they will be a +\- .500 team next year.
@GhostOfAdamGase He feels like the kind of player I’m used to watching other teams get and then fuming about why we didn’t take him because it was so obvious how good he would be.
@DouglieDoWrong It’s a defense that’s predicated on getting home with four rushers and has zero pass rushing ability. Until that deficit is addressed I just don’t see how they have a chance.
@alltime_josh@GilthethrillGil@CannataPFN Yes but if they put up the for sale sign I’m willing to take any bet you want we get qualified calls and offers. And I think the most likely outcome is they take one. I think anyone prepping themself for a messiah player in the top 3 is setting themselves up for disappointment.
@alltime_josh@GilthethrillGil@CannataPFN And what I think you are missing is I am saying we would likely be trading OUT of range to get JS. I have a feeling Scully will value picks more than a really highly graded player.
@GilthethrillGil@CannataPFN I mean that’s the dream. Get paid to take the best player in the draft? I’m just looking at this team though and we need MULTIPLE answers in the pass rush room.
@CannataPFN Don’t misunderstand that I would be STOKED with JS. Just my gut is Sully is the type that will take a bagful of first and seconds over the best WR prospect of the last ten years and that is a zero percent swipe at Smith.
@soflofan@CannataPFN I mean you never do but that’s not even the issue with me. Sully strikes me more as someone who would value a haul of picks for him to remake this roster even over a generational wide receiver. Just my read on who he is as a GM.
