This was inevitable, in my opinion. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Perhaps it increases the number of independent contractors vs full time employees?

@JeffreyHayzlett@CNBC I agree this is not a new concept. It's just been given a label, as all things seem to have lately. Whether or not someone subscribes to this trend is based on their goals. For those with ambition, it might not be the best approach. I wrote about it here: https://t.co/7BfgtkXHfV
There seems to be a misconception that #hardwork is the opposite of #quietquitting. But that’s as far from the truth as it gets. I hope my latest piece on the subject clears up any confusion. https://t.co/yfDxP45Cli
Before the #quietquitting trend these were people who did only what they needed to get by. Likely known as lazy & often offended/angry they were passed up for promotions. Now they're known as Quiet Quitters. Don't get caught up in this self-harming trend: https://t.co/7Bfgtlfi7t
There is a lot of talk on the topic of #QuietQuitting, which is actually not a new concept but people who are driven and career-minded would benefit from doing the opposite. Here are my thoughts. https://t.co/7BfgtkYf5t
Smart from @Occupreneur: ‘So much of career satisfaction comes from making sure you’re working in a place that fits your professional values and goals.’ https://t.co/8iDpUDmQgf
“Shift shock” happens when you jump ship too soon. Before you make a move, own your career like entrepreneurs own their businesses. This helps elevate your career, rather than putting a bandaid on professional unhappiness. #thegreatresignation https://t.co/LqvNwt7fbH. .
The best thing to come from #thegreatresignation is #career choice. This is a great time to Own Your Career as an #entrepreneur own their business. Learn how through The Occupreneur® Approach.
Has work from home made us more productive or has it increased burnout? We are asking our network for thoughts on what the current work environment means for career mobility and would be very appreciative if you took a moment: https://t.co/Fav63iFpxv #workingfromhome#careergoals
With this trend quietly taking hold in the job market, be clear about your value, your skills, and your talents. Be open to rolling up your sleeves and learning with your hands in the “mud.” Own your #career. Be an Occupreneur. https://t.co/iTaGqRSFfB
Good advice on #mentorship, a necessity for Occupreneurs to be successful. But don't forget, in addition to having a mentor, to be a mentor. You likely have something to offer someone else, even if that means mentoring a student at your #college. #careers https://t.co/cFHYTZ77qZ
Did you know that "70% of employers are willing to hire and train someone with transferable skills?" Now's the time to use those transferable or SOFT SKILLS to launch a career that inspires you, fulfills you and brings you joy. #thegreatresignation https://t.co/rihEWWVeZl
Searching 4 #jobs requires out of the box thinking. Often the best opportunities r hiding in industries that seem wrong for u. Just bc you’re a #lawyer doesn’t mean u have to work in a law firm. Just bc ur a programmer doesn’t mean u have to work in #tech https://t.co/Fn3UXBAZd3
Not an ideal situation, but there are solutions to this problem. Perhaps #collegegrads can take internships while working side jobs if needed for income. Internships are a great foot in the door for entry-level #jobs and a #meanstoanend.
