Yesterday was World Wetlands Day! Wetlands are a critical part of our natural environment. They protect our shores from wave action, reduce the impacts of floods, absorb pollutants and improve water quality.

Did you know that wetlands cover about 6% of NSW's surface area.

At Ocean Protect we are helping out in anyway we can with the current bushfire crisis. Our friends at @myTOMRA_Aus have a great initiative called Bottles for the Bush. Aussies can donate their empty drink containers at any TOMRA reverse vending machine until the 23rd of Feb.
