A woman reported that her husband has been a serial womaniser to the extent that he even go after their neighbours. Each time she confronts him, he will tell her to manage him like that or leave the marriage. And still, she remained with him for twelve years.

Today, she wrote to a cleric anonymously, hoping to be understood. But the response she got from him is "Be patient with him. Don't leave him. It's a test from Allah. Just continue praying for him to change. Ending the marriage isn't a good option. Be patient with him until when one of you breathes their last (sic)."

This came from the mosque in my neighbourhood during a women-only Tafsir programme, which I listened to carefully from the comfort of my room. Wallahi, I became worried about how the woman will continue to live this way. And kept repeating a question in my head... "what will the husband be advised on if it happened that it was the wife who was found extremely cheating?" That would have been the end of the marriage, right? And what did the Islamic jurisprudence say on this? Shouldn't have the cleric put weight in discussing that?

Yesterday, I paid for Blue tick for three persons and told them not to talk about it..

I didn't want any attention from their mutuals and also didn't want them to feel like they own me anything..

I equally subscribed to two accounts I value so much same yesterday.

I do that as my own way of encouraging you not as a debt .

I slept early one night. Woke up the next morning, checked my phone, and replied his messages.

Normal.

This man said:

“You were online by 2:17am.”

I said, “Impossible. I was sleeping.”

He said, “Your last seen said so.”

Ah.

So now even WhatsApp is a witness against me 😭

I said, “Maybe it refreshed or something?”

He said, “No. You were awake. Who were you talking to?”

At that point, I realized…

Even my SLEEP is now under investigation.

Soon he’ll ask for dream transcripts:
“Who appeared in your dream?” 😭

I gently exited the situation.

Because I cannot come and be defending unconsciousness.

Before Tinubu came to power, he promised that Nigeria was wasting too much on fuel subsidies. He said he would remove the subsidy and redirect the money to better things like infrastructure and social welfare.

The federal government now saves over 10 trillion naira yearly from the removal of the subsidy.

When we asked where the money was going, they said it was being used for debt servicing.

Yet today, Tinubu has taken more loans than any president in Nigeria in the last 20 years.

If you still tell us to relax because Tinubu is working, it shall not be well with you.
