MR. PETER OBI MUST STOP LIES AGAINST GOVERNOR ALIA AND BENUE STATE GOVERNMENT.
Tuesday, September 8, 2026
The Benue State Government has rejected, in the strongest terms, claims by the candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. @PeterObi that he was blocked by thugs working for the state government from accessing Yelewata to console with families of 2025 attacks.
The allegations are unfounded and desperate attempt to drag Governor @HyacinthAlia and the Benue people into what may be an internal political matter within the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
We wish to emphatically deny that the government of Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has an idea of what Mr. Obi is talking about.
Based on his antecedents of making untrue statements against the state, we have every reason to doubt whether he visited Makurdi, the state capital today.
Let it be known that Mr. Peter Obi is not a threat to Governor Alia in any way. Even if he actually visited the state, and we realized that he is a threat to anyone, the security agencies are there to handle the issue, not thugs.
Governor Alia is a peace-loving Reverend gentleman. He is averse to the promotion of thuggery. In fact, his administration does not engage, patronize, or deploy thugs as instruments of governance or security.
He is consistently committed to the rule of law and relies on recognized security agencies to maintain peace and order across the state.
It is therefore curious that an individual presenting himself as a presidential candidate could arrive in a state without the relevant security authorities being formally informed of his movement.
Ordinarily, such a visit would attract the attention and necessary security coordination involving the Commissioner of Police and other relevant security agencies.
We really find it difficult to understand the basis for Mr. Obi’s attempt to connect every fabrication with the Benue State Government, and Governor Hyacinth Alia in the first instance.
If Mr. Obi is confronted with disagreements or internal political challenges within his party structure in Benue State, those issues should be resolved within the party rather than being conveniently transferred to the State Government.
The Alia administration will not be distracted by attempts to manufacture political controversies where none exists.
Its attention remains firmly focused on delivering good governance, strengthening security and improving the welfare of the people of Benue State.
We therefore urge the public to disregard the allegations linking the State Government to any incident that happened around the NDC Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.
Benue remains open to legitimate visitors, political actors and all Nigerians who come in peace.

There is absolutely no convincing argument anyone can make to me that Rufai Oseni has not completely lost the plot.
While sorting and collation were still ongoing, President Tinubu had reportedly called Ademola Adeleke to congratulate him. That call alone would have strengthened Adeleke's confidence that the election was already tilting in his favour.
Recall that the uploading of over a thousand polling-unit results was paused for several hours before eventually resuming. It is entirely possible that the President had already received intelligence on the direction of the election and, consistent with his position that the will of the people must prevail, chose to privately acknowledge what was already becoming obvious.
If the results had already been officially declared, a public congratulatory statement would have sufficed. The fact that the call was reportedly made while the process was still ongoing strongly suggests that the President already knew where the election was heading.
What is even more baffling is Rufai's attempt to convince Nigerians that the President only called Adeleke when it had become "too late." That argument falls apart under the slightest scrutiny.
The President of the Federal Republic is the Commander-in-Chief. Whether his critics like it or not, nobody can honestly claim that such an office lacks the capacity to influence political outcomes if the occupant is determined to do so. If Tinubu genuinely wanted to force a different outcome, there are numerous instruments of power that could have been deployed.
Yet the same people who portray Tinubu as the most powerful political figure in Nigeria suddenly want Nigerians to believe he was completely helpless in an election they claim he desperately wanted to manipulate. That contradiction alone exposes the weakness of their narrative.
Was it also "too late" when President Tinubu reportedly called Adeleke before the election over the issue of Osun State's frozen account and directed that it be resolved? If Rufai wants to construct a narrative, he should at least construct one that can survive basic scrutiny.
As for @ARISEtv , popularity should never be mistaken for credibility. It is hardly a platform I would recommend to anyone seeking balanced political analysis because it is full of flaws and bias reports. If you must watch it, pay closer attention to voices like Dr. Reuben Abati @0xArbit and more importantly, subject every opinion to independent scrutiny.
Because at this point, accepting Rufai's narratives at face value is not enlightenment. It is allowing commentary to replace reasoning and emotion to replace analysis.

@PHEDconnect Macdonald School Road Residents, Igwuruta urges PHED to restore their lines after customers donated low Tension poles to ease line reconnection. Conductors are lying insecure and unsafe.
Poles were brought down by a strong wind, customers bought and installed the poles and PHED in the least has not hung back the conductors because D-irons have not been self purchased by the Customers at Macdonald street Igwuruta.
There are too many lies surrounding this President Tinubu’s certificate.
On December 29, 1998, Tinubu, then Governor of Lagos State, swore an affidavit in respect of lost certificates before the Commissioner for Oath at the High Court Registry, Ikeja.
Also the same year, he filled out the INEC form that he attended:
✳️St. Paul’s School, Aroloya, Lagos, for his primary education, which does not exist.
✳️University of Chicago
✳️Government College, Ibadan, between 1965 and 1968, which the authorities and Old Boys Association of Government College, Ibadan debunked.
In 1998, he’ lied under oath that he lost his certificate, and now, in 2023, as President, he claims administrative errors on his certificate show he’s feminist.
Uhm😂😂😂
