@tavk187__@joejoerighty Finding the right house is not easy. There are costs, proximity to family for child care, does the house meet one’s needs, etc. Life needs evolve. It’s unreasonable to expect that he’d stay in Surrey just because he works in Surrey. Mike is one of the finest coppers I ever met.
@joejoerighty I can tell you that the standards in the RCMP are worse than I have ever seen them, no better than the SPS. Shockingly bad. There are of course many good coppers, but the standard is, do you have a pulse. I have very little confidence in many frontline members.
@butcherboyz@debwalt1956 Once the IIOBC take over, it’s not his place to say anything nor could he if he wanted to. The IIOBC handle the media releases once they assume conduct.
@joejoerighty Why not just tell us when there isn’t an extortion shooting & we will just assume there’s at least one a day. I thought SPS was policing reimagined? Didn't they claim they’d drive down crime? How’s that going?
@IRPlawyer Another misstep by the world’s greatest police service. It has long been held by the privacy commissioner that there have to be checks and balances. Sec 8 of the Charter is intended to limit state interference in privacy rights. Not that I necessarily agree, but that’s the law.
@elenoresturko LMD RCMP detachments are facing serious shortages while holding vacant positions to accommodate released Surrey personnel. But they aren’t getting released fast enough as SPS is slow to staff up. FACT
@Save_us_US What a bunch of nonsense. I live a 5 min drive from a border crossing and used to cross at least 2 or 3 times a month. The yanks were frequently jerks. CBSA never.
@joejoerighty Plenty of incompetence in all services, Incuding the RCMP. The standards of policing are the worse I’ve seen in my time. There are many, many RCMP members who are not fit for purpose. By the same standard there are also excellent members, Incuding within the SPS.
