I took my Doek Drive to Masvingo Province, where a sea of beautifully wrapped doeks and zambias transformed the gathering into a powerful celebration of womanhood, dignity, and cultural pride.
I will continue to honour the resilience of our women, restoring respect, unity, and shared values rooted in love for ubuntu. The doek remains a powerful symbol of identity and honour, reflecting the beauty of womanhood across generations.
This initiative is about more than clothing; it is about strengthening values, preserving culture, and uplifting ubuntu. Every woman deserves to stand tall, confident, and cherished. Together, we continue to safeguard our cultural heritage for present and future generations.
Inspired by the success story of the Angel of Hope Drug Rehabilitation Centre in Mbare, I am encouraged by Masvingo Province response, becoming the first province to fully mobilise the resources required to establish a replica facility.
I commend the unity and commitment demonstrated by business leaders, farmers, churches, traditional leaders and communities who have come together in support of this noble cause. Their collective action reflects a shared responsibility to protect young people from drug and substance abuse.
This commendable effort complements national initiatives and shows what is possible when communities come together align around rehabilitation, reintegration and prevention. Together, we are restoring hope, rebuilding lives and strengthening communities.
