Here's what I propose for Canada's new tax code.

A flat 20% income tax with no progressive tiers. (5% for Ottawa, 15% for your home province)

A 15% corporate tax applied only to distributed profits (reinvested profits are tax-free).

Municipal property tax limited to land value, not buildings or capital. Set at 1% for ever.

No deductions whatsoever.

A fully digitized filing system, where most citizens complete taxes online in minutes.

Governments have to live within their means. No deficits.
