@DumbsYT because they think by removing them completely they will force people to buy more skins, which will earn them more money OR make them roll for skins in the gacha system
you need money to run the game, we get it, but this isn't the way Riot

@JuunTV @Dexerto not trying to defend Riot cause god knows the changes they have done are terrible, especially for new players
but they do do this, up to lvl30 you get champion capsules that give you champion shards you can then unlock, you also get a rotation of certain free champions weekly (?)

taking the worst elements of gacha games and making the experience the worst possible for players without giving anything in return is really not the way to go and I really hope this gets changed in a patch or two

@RiotMeddler Not being able to get chests anywhere combined with a long, boring grindy pass with middling rewards even for premium users is such a downgrade that it really demotivates getting the pass and even playing the game really, also no orbs with premium pass? Absurd
