I addressed the media on major operational successes recorded by the Criminal Investigations Department in the fight against serious crime across the country.

The briefing covered key investigations involving child sexual exploitation, child trafficking, cyber-enabled abuse, homicide, and other violent offences.

In collaboration with INTERPOL and the Australian Federal Police, the Ghana Police Service successfully arrested suspects involved in child sexual exploitation offences and rescued vulnerable child victims from abuse.

The CID also provided updates on the arrest of a suspect connected to the murder and burning of a body at Legon Bypass, ongoing investigations into the non-consensual sharing of intimate images, and efforts to dismantle a child trafficking syndicate operating within the country.

These operations reflect the commitment, professionalism, and dedication of our investigators, operational teams, forensic experts, and partner agencies who continue to work tirelessly to protect lives and uphold justice.

The Ghana Police Service remains fully committed to safeguarding the public, protecting vulnerable persons, and ensuring that offenders are brought to justice.
