The era of recycling politicians especially legacy KANU orphan politicians must come to an end, just look at the outcome of said politicians to date.
This isn’t just a Mt Kenya or ethnic issue. Gachagua himself later admitted the region delivered nearly half of Ruto’s 7.1 million votes in 2022 and apologised for it, calling the outcome a fatal mistake. He openly described the arrangement as a shareholding deal,votes in exchange for positions and economic gains. That arrangement collapsed, and he was impeached in 2024 after the Senate upheld five of the eleven charges.
The point is the results now affect the whole country. Inflation stands at 6.8% as of September 2026, with food prices up 9.5% and transport costs up 15.6%. Households across Kenya,not any single community are carrying that pressure. Treating the impeachment as a tribal offence to be settled at the ballot while the cost-of-living burden is national simply prolongs the same transactional politics. Performance and the state of the country should come first.

Same Mama Miradi who was handing out free unga in Kawangware months ago now wants us to believe collecting eggs for a 30-second video is "honest hustle" and serving the people. Where's the farm location, number of birds, monthly production, or how many actual jobs this created? Or are we just supposed to ignore the Range Rover, Bentley, and the rest while you brand a battery-cage photo-op as grassroots hard work ahead of 2027?
Unlocking opportunities abroad is fine. The numbers at home tell a different story;
Public debt has risen to about KSh 13–13.5 trillion (roughly $100B+). That is up roughly KSh 4+ trillion since you took office in 2022. Debt-to-GDP is now in the high 60s to low 70s percent range, above the 55% policy benchmark. External debt service alone hit around KSh 716 billion in one recent year. Debt service is consuming a very large share of ordinary revenue ,projections have it near 70–80% in coming periods leaving less room for everything else.
You clearly do care , just about a different set of numbers.
While debt service is eating ordinary revenue, State House’s own budget went from an initial ~KSh 8.5–8.6 billion in FY 2025/26 to a final outturn of KSh 18.55 billion. Of that, travel alone took ~KSh 2.5 billion (mostly domestic). In the first nine months alone, foreign travel had already hit a record KSh 1.27 billion.
This is the same office that, in October 2023, announced a KSh 11 billion cut to unnecessary government travel (“hakuna kurandaranda”). The Controller of Budget’s later reports show the opposite trajectory: government-wide travel still rose to KSh 30.7 billion in 2025/26.
So yes, the priorities are clear. Just not the ones most Kenyans are feeling. @WilliamsRuto @ControllerofBudget

Promises and photo ops - and here’s the hard facts in your track record.
Kenya’s debt: KSh13.01T (June 2026). Food +9.5%, transport +15.6% annually (Sept 2026). Parliament reports 176 stalled housing-programme projects. Kenyans need delivery—not speeches. Publish the deals, costs, contracts and results.

Nobody better equipped to talk about humanitarian values and economy than ruto. He’s been crushing both - pole for implicating Russia as backing up the gooddamn State House rebels in 2024. We killed and abducted most, so all good now.
Economy-wise also amazing, his bank accounts filling up, oppressed Kenyans pay more taxes & international loans keep coming.
На здоровье!
History will not change the fact that for example our debt is nearly at 13.4 Trillion KSh, and it's growing daily by 4.5 Bilion Ksh because that's the amount Rutos regime borrows daily EVERYDAY. Another one, on average our annual revenue collected, about 2.8 Trillion KSh, 70% goes to pay for the debt, next financial year it will be 80-82% of that. How does history help when this year alone, according to world bank data 2.4 million Kenyans will fall under the category of poor. mean we have 99 problems and counting and history memory lane isn't one! Can we get back to October 28/2026 and focus on OUR current problems?

The only way to counter that is to drop factual with evidence of data in such obvious objective post on the current state of affairs. Kibaki’s recovery from the late-Moi collapse was real, GDP growth moved from near-zero to peaks near 7%, tax collection improved, free primary education started, and some infrastructure restarted. That is not in dispute. But that's not the entire picture which you have deliberately ignored as well;
World Bank data shows manufacturing’s share of GDP rose from about 9.8% in 2002 to a peak of 12.8% in 2007, then fell steadily (11.1% by 2012) and has kept declining to the 7–8% range today. The Kibaki years delivered a services/construction/telecoms boom, not a manufacturing revival. Kenya locked in premature deindustrialisation (tender-prenureism). High energy costs, weak industrial policy, and cheap imports were not fixed. Manufacturing share of GDP (World Bank / IndexMundi series)
Clear table/chart showing the 2007 peak (-12.8%) then the long decline. Link:

The Anglo-Leasing cluster (roughly 18 security-related contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars / tens of billions of shillings) involved phantom or shell companies, massive overpricing, and non-delivery. Several deals continued or were signed under the Kibaki administration. John Githongo’s dossier (his own former ethics adviser) documented the network, implicated senior officials, and described attempts to shut the investigation down. Accountability was minimal. This is the textbook case of the tender-preneur model becoming entrenched under Kibaki, not created from nothing later.
Growth happened. The industrial base and clean procurement culture did not. Those gaps are still with us.

@Asswetooo Exactly!! Accountability has no political camp. The moment we start giving free passes because “they’re on our side,” we become part of the problem.
We must stop recycling politicians. Look where that has gotten us so far. Kenya must do better.
@KeForestService@grok@grok can you fact check out of those forests Rachel Ruto "adopted" which ones have an active "tree harvest" going on and by how much in acreage?
