When I was working at a Company, this was their Rule. They call everyone by their First Name only.

I couldn't call my Bosses by their First Name because of Yoruba Culture in me.
It totally sounded weird so I resulted to saying Sir and Ma to my Bosses.

The Lady must have been taught to say that according to their Company Policy, just that Uncle Tony Elumelu doesn't like it.

Mr. Tony Elumelu shouldn't have reacted to the Young Lady that way publicly.

I remember one time I was interviewing a candidate, and she was so tense.

I asked her if she would like to step outside for a few minutes to put herself together before we continued.

She asked me if it would affect her selection, and I told her, Not at all.

She stepped outside for about 3 minutes, returned, and we continued the interview.

Well, that babe is celebrating her 2nd work anniversary today with that company, and that’s why I remembered this story.
