Keeps proving my point. Even if it's "the rules", then they're lousy rules. I can pay attention every four years. That's about it. Couldn't endure it every year as a fan. It was a lot more fun to actually play as a high school athlete, that's for sure.
Soccer can be so annoying. Even when you have a great game like this Mexico-England game, all of a sudden the inane rules result in a red card. So many phony fouls and exaggerated injuries, I guess it tracks. Even still. Toughen up.

@freganmitts The only favorite I recall having by the time I was college-age was 'Ulysses' by Tennyson. But this one became my immediate all-time love, pretty much upon my first reading of it (circa 1996, age 23). Still is today.
This is ruled a hit against 99.9% of MLB pitchers.
Brewers CLEARLY protecting their golden boy and Cy Young favorite. This is the kind of decision that impacts voters at the end of the year
1 ER when it should have been 5 .
@MLB should fix this
@OnPattison Strictly numbers, Misiorowski. But only *just* barely. Recall in 2022, Kershaw got the nod over Alcantara because it was in LA. And Alcantara was 1000 feet ahead of Kershaw at that point. Sanchez is about 1.5 feet behind (and the overall better pitcher anyway).
The only apology I am making for this is that I didn't hear @GreggCasertaMLB call this ending on #MLBBigInning because I am addicted to listening to Scott Franzke's game-calling. Sorry, Gregg. I'm tuned into Big Inning now, though. Take the evening home for me.
