Zelda: Ocarina of Time, one of, if not the greatest and most influential games of all time that defined the childhood of many gamers, gets announced:
"Twilight Princess is better!!1
"Art style is shit!!1"
"They need to change X and Y!!1"
Fuck off.
@napenforcer Basing your argument on what Nintendo said they were aiming for rather than how the game actually looks is like leaving your house in a rainstorm without an umbrella just because a weather report told you it was sunny.
@_Deez_Games I don't know why people think a fandom is a single hivemind entity, completely unable to comprehend that it consists of vastly different individuals with different tastes and wants.
@ArcanisYT Even though Witcher 3 probably is my favorite game of all time, you are right. BotW set a new standard for open world RPGs. BotW haters are just mad they didn't 'get it.' Like, Mozart or The Beatles aren't for everyone, but that doesn't take away from their greatness.
@hikaru_toro I get ya. After like 20 hours I lost all interest and saw little to no purpose in what I was doing. Probably a lot different if you are one of those who really love the game's combat.
@DeaconJohn0 Yep. I very much agree with this take—and it has been my own from the get-go. I love Natlan because it's the most unique region yet. Is it my favorite? No. But it adds to Genshin beautifully.
@soh_toa Better. I personally really like Lauma as well. Rerir was so fantastic and such a refreshing antagonist. When we're in his PoV and go through his ledger of killings, and the age of the victims drops lower and lower... it's one of the highlights of Genshin's storytelling for me.
