“I really appreciate the offer and it’s been very tempting. But, I’m not sure it would make them respect me any more than they already do.” Andy sighed, shoulder drooping under the weight of all her stress.
Andy smiled, feeling warm at his words. “I guess that is why we do so~
“need me to kick some of them in the ass-?” it's an offer made in jest but if she needed extra hands, he's got time.
“and you're always more than i deserve, you know that? i am on my way, promise to be safe.”
careful traveling; god knows he's had a clumsy streak lately.
“Jack…..it might look minor and feel minor at the moment. But, we both know how serious these things can be. You scared me to death!” She sighed, brushing a strand of hair from her face.
@BADASSPARAMEDIC ~ lower now, less teasing. But she didn’t move from where she leaned against the counter, and she didn’t tell Julia to get some rest. They both knew it wouldn’t happen anytime soon. It had been a brutal night for all at Station 42.
@BADASSPARAMEDIC ~laughed, causing a cough to force itself from her raw throat.
Andy ran a hand through her tangled hair, soot smearing further across her jaw. Julia looked like hell, and she knew she probably didn’t look much better.
“You need sleep more than coffee,” she said, her voice~
“I had you fooled then. We were messes in different ways.” She laughed sadly.
I wanted to do more, Jack. You’d deserved better friends. I could have and should have done so much more for you. I should have made you move in with me. Or I with you. I should have been right there~
“wasn't just me at your back, can't take the credit for that. you always were more put together than me.” he shakes his head.
“you did everything you could, more than most ever did.. not your fault i was a pain in the ass.”
“Me too. I’ve missed him. But, I think we’re in a better place. We’re at least friends. Which is something we both need.” She shrugged. “Glad things are good for you. Oh no. As much as I appreciate it. I’m not sure that would help them respect me, Diane.”
“ I’m glad you talked to Gibson last night. I’m doing good myself just been keeping my office opened to anyone who needs it. The new firefighters aren’t respecting you?” she asked Andy she can always talk to them
“I’m actually doing pretty good this morning. Jack and I talked for a while last night. Now, if I can get this new team to respect their Captain, I’ll be doing even better. How are you?”
Andy chuckled, shaking her head. “I’m not so sure sometimes. I got pretty messed up along the way. You helped me keep it together so many times, Jack.” She smiled sadly. “I didn’t do as much as I should have for you. You deserved better. That’s for certain.”
(You do amazing!)
