⚠️ ¿Por qué no sonó la Alerta Sísmica?
El #SASMEX explicó que el #sismo de magnitud 7.4 no activó la #alerta porque no cuenta con sensores en #Chiapas, donde ocurrió el evento. Cuando las ondas sísmicas llegaron a las estaciones de #Oaxaca, su energía ya no alcanzó el umbral necesario para emitir la alerta.

Por ello, SASSLA App tampoco envió una notificación anticipada. Ambos sistemas operaron conforme a su cobertura y criterios de activación.

"Quake" is a name of a day on our Mixtec calendar and since our names originated to reflect the calendar, some born on that day in our history were named x or xx Quake, e.g.12-Quake.

That whatever the final count from this would be, that it would still be a far lower number than the xxx,xxx numbers. I do want to emphasize that the numbers of rescues in this occurrence have been incredibly high, including from citizens helping citizens: xx,xxx.

Lower food and water when they're trapped but are in open bldg, and mark/tag the spots, in the meantime until teams can get to them.
Provide sturdy plastic bags to keep themselves sanitary and for them to drop the bags to others for disposal.

No, not other than the clock/time ticking. The majority of rescuers need to be willing to be bold for risk-taking, but only those who know what they're doing.
