Jesuit Conference of India (JCI), a 'non-profit organisation' established in 1978 working for Empowerment & Sustainability with focus on the most marginalised.
On 1 March, we marked #WorldSeagrassDay 🌊
This year’s theme — “Seagrasses Enrich Ocean Biodiversity and Fisheries” — highlights how these underwater plants help marine life and people thrive.
Seagrasses may look simple, but they provide habitats for fish, support fishing communities, protect coastlines, and even help fight climate change by storing carbon. Protecting seagrasses means protecting our oceans, our food, and our future.

Through access to education, mentorship, and supportive networks, we can help close the gender gap and ensure every girl has the chance to explore, innovate, and lead. When we invest in girls in science, we invest in a more inclusive and innovative future for all.
On this International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we stand together with our partners across India to champion equal access to STEM opportunities.
🌿 World Wetlands Day highlights the vital role of wetlands in biodiversity and climate resilience, with this year’s theme celebrating the traditional knowledge and cultural heritage that help sustain them.
