Being a #survivor isn’t all good. Don’t get me wrong, I’m exceptionally grateful and it’s the only outcome any of us wants but there are still some hefty challenges to face.
GUILT
In 2016, when my cancer was diagnosed, I was the 4th parent in my older daughter’s class to ....
it’s exhausting. And it feels relentless. And I feel guilty about moaning. And for wasting time I’ve got. And I hate cancer. It’s a twat. And so the hideous mental and emotional rollercoaster continues. But I’m lucky that for me it does continue. But it’s still shit. #survivor
CANCER IS A TWAT
And then a beautiful friend who supported me through the worst of my treatment tells me her cancer has returned. And it’s metastatic. And we both know what that means. And my own head has gone once again. There but for the grace of god go I. Why not me? When? And

Today (well, what’s left of it) is my Boobiversary! On this day last year I had my murderous left tit removed and replaced with an innocuous implant. The mastectomy heralded the end of my treatment.
A whole year on.
Every day from here is a step further away from cancer. Yay!!!
