On 26th October 2023, the museum celebrated the 400th anniversary of the first printed edition of Shakespeare's Folio book.
Exciting news! Restoration work on the Heidelberg Zylinder is now underway. The panels have been removed, and Steve is diving deep into giving it a thorough clean.

This week the Penrith Museum of Printing was given a beautiful old Intaglio printing press. The press ones belonged to great artist Gerrard Gayfield Shaw, (1885 – 1961) Art gallery owner, Book-plate artist, Printmaker. The press was donated by the Wellcom Group
