The waitstaff deliver their drinks, giving them a moment to decide on their meals.

@AChaoticBellex Damon checks his phone, wanting to make sure that the world hadn’t blown up since he had been gone. When he saw that there weren’t any messages, he breathes a sign of relief as he reaches for his coffee.

@mortofgilbert As they were seated, and given menus, Damon glances out the window at a small lighted waterfall. They had really gone all out to make this place memorable.
The younger Salvatore brother orders something to drink, waiting for Elena to decide as well.

@AChaoticBellex The hostess leads them over to a table that has a big window looking out on a small lake. Handing them both a menu, she offers them something to drink.
Damon orders coffee since he was driving, looking over at Elena, he waits for her to decide.

@AChaoticBellex “Well, if it’s any relief, you aren’t the one he’s mad at. And actually, forever is a really long time.”
Damon points out as he climbs out and heads over to the entrance of the diner, holding the door for her to go first. It was a quiet place, only a few obvious regulars there.

@BonnieSBennettt Damon follows for safety sake, to back her up. He truly didn’t want anything to happen to her.
He had no idea of who would have done this, but perhaps in talking to the others they could figure it out.
