Giggling happily, Ralph holds his hands close to his chest as he watches Sam open it, trembling with excitement.
Inside. Is a dead bird. It has no feathers, and Sam's name is carved in it.
Ralph giggles through the connection, nodding.
A few minutes later he's running down the stairs, almost tripping. He's carrying a box in his hands, and he excitedly shows it to Sam.
"R... Ralph made his friend Sam a...a..aaa g gift!"
Ralph hears the other awake downstairs, giggling happily. He stays upstairs, but contacts the other through their mind communication androids have.
∆-Ralph is upstairs. Don't worry. Ralph will be down soon.-∆
"Oh! R.. right, yes Rupert can help Ralph!"
He nods, "R... Ralph has scrap metal he can use to make bird furniture. Like... Birds... They need um....
What do birds like?"
Ralph would end up staying in stasis for five hours. His twitching doesn't even stop in his sleep, but luckily androids don't have dreams, so it isn't nightmares.
He wakes up, looking around.

Ralph was trembling against Sam. He gets overheated when upset, so he's extremely warm against the other.
But he does slowly calm at the humming, and eventually is completely still against Sam.
Like a child, he is put to sleep with the humming.
Ralph's never abandoned anyone in his life - well, except the human who hurt him originally, but that didn't count.
The WR600 would stay close to the child all night. His paranoia keeps him awake, but he keeps his nervous ramblings quiet so as not to awaken her.
Shrugging, Ralph holds the sleeping pigeon to his chest.
"Well anyway - Ralph can work on making his home better for his new Rupert friend and his pigeon friends, yes... Yes Ralph can start doing that."
His LED stays red as he looks at Sam, his eyes sad.
"N...no... Ralph isn't worth it.." The android repeats quietly, squeezing Sam's hand gently.
"But... He does appreciate everything Sam does for Ralph, yes..."
He's then hugging the other tightly.
Ralph smiles widely, hesitating before reaching a shaky but gently hand out to pat the child's shoulder.
"G.... Goodnight, little girl - Ralph will stay, don't...don't worry." He nods, trying his best to be reassuring. He's not very experienced with caring for children - his+
