On Aug. 2, a large building in northwest Portland was destroyed in a huge fire that sent smoke across the city. Nearly 90 firefighters had to respond. The long-empty building was going to finally be redeveloped for housing and commercial use.

Last night — right before packing up at the York State Fair — a woman came over to our voter registration table.

She’s 51 years old & has never voted in her entire life (born in 1975).

So, I took out a voter registration form, filled it out for her, & had her sign.

She took a form for her husband, who hasn’t voted since he was 18.

I asked her, “Why now? Why did you choose to register today?”

She said, “Because I saw people excited about voting.”

So, when people tell me that voter registration doesn’t matter, I can tell you with certainty that it most definitely does.

I've said this SEVERAL TIMES, and people that end up responding miss the point.

NUTRIENT DENSITY. FAT CONTENT.

BEEF is MANY MANY MANY MANY **more times** nutrient dense than chicken. And has WAY MORE fat in it.

1st point. Then I show you WHY they have been working VERY HARD for 50+ years to REDUCE the amount of BEEF Americans eat and REPLACE THAT with CHICKEN.

It's not JUST an economics argument, but it's PART of the story about what they've been deliberately doing, which the Trump admininstration and FDA @SecRollins have been deliberately attempting to reverse.

Calculate the COSTS of raising 50 chickens, slaughtering them, plucking them, and bringing their meat to market, and then CONTRAST THAT WITH how much it costs to raise 50 cows, slaughter them, and bring their meat to market.

The far less nutrient dense meat is FAR CHEAPER to raise, kill, and bring the meat to market to sell it.

Top quality beef is literaly THE most nutrient dense food there is.

But same as with the corn/soy industries, what has the government been doing in making it FAR HARDER to raise one type of animal, and bring it's meat to market, vs another type of animal?

Has the government been making it FAR HARDER to afford to raise/slaughter/sell one type of animal vs another?

Is it easier to raise CHICKENS now than COWS, thanks to our wonderful government servants all lookin' out for us?

There are definite reasons the market for chicken meat overall [not just fast food] EXPLODED over the last 50 years. Do you know what those reasons are?

Chickens DO rank near DEAD LAST in nutrient density.

If all you care about is protein, lean chicken or lean turkey is not a deal breaker. But the BEEF will give you BOTH the nutrient density AND top shelf protein.

But chicken has been advertised and marketed for 50+ years as being WAY MORE HEALTHIER for you to eat than than red meat/beef.

And it is NOT TRUE.
